honestly, this is what it comes down to is a match between 2 radio guys. Marty says Stoops now b/c Cotler says Fulmer this morning. Jesus.

It seems like a middle of the road hire to me.

There are others I'd prefer (Gill, Holtz, Peterson, Patterson, Fulmer, etc), but we were probably longshots on all of those anyway.

There are others I'd like far far less (Loney, Farley, Norvell, etc)

Out of all listed candidates with head coach experience, I think Mike Stoops is the last one I would hire. I really like the Fulmer idea, but I don't think it will happen.
