This timing sucks with the semester ending, these kids that are thinking of transferring probably feel like they need to do so between semesters.

That was one of my first thoughts. Meeting at 2:00. Meerting at 6:00. What a piece of work.

Look at it this way.. with the way he burned bridges here, and how little time they'll give him in Auburn, this last week probably just ended his career.

He better enjoy the next 2 years, because that could be all he's got left as HC

Agree 100%, everyone knows that coaches are retread all over the place. His 'friends' will not put in a good word for him anywhere.

No, they just started at #19 and couldn't move past the other two undefeated teams. Florida went 11-0 when on probation several yeas ago.

Ok, I seem to remember them being on probation....hmmm...

EDIT: Funny enough, I was thinking of the 1993 team that went undefeated and was on probation.

It would be fitting if GC gets nailed with tampering by the NCAA. Karma has a way of leveling things out. It will catch up to GC before long.

Getting in trouble with the NCAA will certainly lend him more credibility as an SEC coach. "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'."

I'm not up on NCAA rules, but is there *any* way players don't have to sit out a year for transferring? (besides transferring to an FCS school)

Not really. You have to transfer to a lower division school if you don't want to sit out.

Not sure about if you don't take a scholarship, ie, transfer and walk on. Maybe you could play, but that is not really a strong option for many kids anyway.

"Everyone went crazy, got a few words off on him, even coaches, Bo.... I love Bo Williams by the way."

is there anyone left that chizik didn't **** off??? Is there any insight as to which coaches?? How much influence would these coaches be in convincing players to stay?

I wouldn't worry YET about anyone leaving. Pollard won't release anyone until after our new coach gets his chance to re-recruit them.

Right now the players need to be mad. I understand that. It is part of the grief processes. Hopefully tonight Pollard can begin the process of healing their grief. Pollard will REALLY earn his salary in that 6pm meeting tonight.

The meeting with Pollard already happened, following the short Chizik speech. Pollard is on the coaching trail now.

As far as coaches are concerned, if I was Robert McFarland, I would be pissed. Get demoted, and then the coach that demotes you leaves a couple days later. Would be pretty tough to get a good job after that. We're talking about a guy that was a coach at a very good FBS school before he came here.
I also know he's not one to hold anything back as far as saying things. I watched him chase referees off the PRACTICE field in the spring, yelling at them the whole time.
