Three offensive boards, three 3 point attempts, eventually they make one

If I’m a player, I’m forcing Prohm to use all of his timeouts as early as possible. They are a complete detriment to us.

“You get 4 TO’s per half”
“Can we donate them”?

The last 10 minutes are all about coaching... and coincidentally our worst 10. minutes of every game.

Like I said last game - some teams close strong, we fold strong.

The last 4 of the 1st half, 1st 4 of the 2nd half and closing things out have been pretty bad trends over the years.

This is the worst team I’ve seen in Ames in my 35 years. Slight edge over last year’s team which I didn’t think would be attainable. There are 3-4 times every game with this group where I think to myself “this is remarkable” and it’s yet to be the good kind of remarkable.

To come all the way back and take the lead like we did in the 2nd half and still find a way to lose by 20 in the last 7 minutes would be almost impossible, and yet...

I could literally go recruit at the rec watching pick up games and put a better team on the court than this. It’s literally amazing how bad they are.

maybe a bit deep of a question in a game (which has sadly turned into a season) thread, but what, exactly, do these ******* assistant coaches do? I never see them do anything. They aren’t coaching any guys up who aren’t currently on the floor. ******* worthless.

Any statheads out there who can tell me...

Has any power conference coach who went winless in-conference retained their job the next season?

Yes, Former TCU coach Trent Johnson went winless in his second season. That is at least one example I think of.

to be fair the beginning of games has been poor too...other than than that though, it’s not bad

Ha yeah.

Usually a coach can point to one part of the game that made the difference but instead it's:

'We didn't get off to a very good start, and then really didn't close out the 1st half very well, and after half we got jumped on and then the last 5-10 minutes we struggled. But for about 10-20 game minutes we were pretty competitive.'

I don't see the Texas, KState, or Tech games on the schedule so I'm assuming they are canceled.

That leaves one epic game next Saturday vs TCU to see if Prohm can achieve the unthinkable.
