Because you are not selfish and don't really want a lot of toys in life? Just not important. Like I said he could've spent more but didn't really want anything. It's a heck of a lot easier knowing you'll be fine regardless of what new crisis lies around the corner, whereas, if you are highly leveraged things get quite stressful really quickly.

Absolutely no issue with what he thought was important. But it doesn't have to be one extreme or the other. Cover your funeral, leave something for the kids, enjoy life. Just MHO.

Tanning facilities but not barber shops/salons?

Obviously tanning salons are less necessary, but they probably also require less contact. So long as everything is sanitized well at the tanning facility of course. Hard to have no contact at a hair salon

Why does having had Covid-19 preclude you from joining the military?

It has to do with the potential long term side effects, I'm guessing. It's sort of a knee-jerk reaction especially since within the next year or so the vast majority of Americans will have contracted the virus. I'm guessing once a vaccine is approved for use, restrictions will be lifted.

Now 33+ million workers filed for unemployment. Roughly equivalent to every single living person in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

It's based on how much you make and not the number of hours correct?
Don’t get your hopes up. I was self employed but closed “temporarily”early March as ordered per the State. Applied three weeks ago, crickets.

Pretty staggering number. I wonder how many of those are furloughed vs permanent job loss?

Tanning joints are the among most vile, disgusting businesses around in terms of sanitation. Actual physical contact isn't necessary to transmit. Might as well open up Beach Girls in order to be consistent...

If only our response to the virus had been as effective as South Korea's. Our unemployment rate is now over 20% while they are at 4%. They're playing baseball and getting back to normal. Both countries reported the first COVID death on the same day.

What, you don't like laying in a warm tanning bed after someone was in there all lathered up in bronzer sweating a bit, with just a towel wipe-down? Man, you don't know how to live. :)
