These windmill people got a truck carrying a crane stuck. I kept going by them and finally after seven hours they realized if they would unload the crane which has tracks on it they could drive the truck out and then reload the crane on it

We're going ol' school internet...BBS (Bulletin Board System) style.

Flames to ovens/stoves/microwaves that malfunction by tripping breakers over and over...for whatever reason. This means, even though it's gas, I can't use it because the lighters are electric.

Semi-flames to apartment complexes who don't think this is important to take care of when we're trying to eat cheaper.
*sigh*

Question for the girls, since a lot of experiences are still really new to me. If a guy in the breakroom that I haven't met before comments "I like your boots" to me, is he in to me? Or is he just gay? They are cute boots though.

Did he tell you they are last year’s a Prada? Then he is gay. (Legally Blonde reference) Otherwise he was trying to find an in. I am not much help because a) I have only been in a workplace situation for 1.5yrs after a 16yr hiatus and b) I work primarily with women and we are constantly complimenting/asking where others got cute shoes/clothes/earrings.

Took the kids outside when we got home last night so they could run off energy and I could rake some more. Wake up and it doesn't look like I did anything...stupid rain and wind.

Haha, that's one of my favorite movies. Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy, and happy people just don't shoot their husbands!!!

The whole women complimenting each other's shoes and clothes thing is such a trope, but yet it is also so true!!

I got complimented on my shoes this morning. I try to compliment other women regularly because I know it feels nice plus I probably really do want to know where they got that scarf.

this training is too much. Didn't really catch that the examples were NOT standalone exe

This nice older woman (late 50s early 60s I'd guess) pulled me aside in the grocery store last week. She was telling me how gorgeous I am, how she loved my height, my walk, and she leaned in and said that I had a pretty face too. I was so stunned that I just didn't have a clue how to react beyond smiling and thanking her.

And as I thought about that encounter, part of me wondered if I didn't look like a trans woman and maybe she thought that I needed some encouragement? But I'm really lucky in that hormones have done a number on my face structure and body lines-- I really don't look like a "hon." I've had so many conversations where family/children have come up as a topic, and it's obvious that people think I actually gave birth to my daughter, that my ex- is a man. I don't think I standout (beyond my height, of course). I did really like my outfit though, and I felt pretty confident in how I looked. Maybe that attitude was showing through?

Anyway, for compliments. I have at least learned that when someone compliments your outfit, the correct response is thanks and telling them where you bought it. And a return compliment isn't required, but you can do it if you really like something of theirs. Just don't make it automatic or feel like you're doing it just to return the favor.

Had last doc appt with specialist I first saw in 1982, so yeah, he's retiring. That's a long time. Remembered details of my surgery from 1988 without looking at my charts. Going to be handed off to someone else but will likely be seeing a PA or NP before I talk to the big shot docs as easily as I have with him. He was more old school, direct and hands on kinda guy who really didn't use the PA/NP option much. Guess my single appts will turn into two all of the time "Well, you'll have to follow up with Dr. X" :(

Note: I like the PA/NP for family doctor general stuff, not so much when they are working in a specialist field.
My family doctor retired last year. He recommended this young guy, who is very nice, but I think expects me to still be in my forties (turned 60 this past summer). He's a runner of course.

My doctor & former dentist are my age. Dentist retired. Sucked to find a new one. I told my doctor he couldn't retire until after I die, because I don't want to go to some young pup. :D

Ran some errands which included getting gas in the van. Ran in down to 1 mile remaining. Filled it up and went through the car wash...then the wash stopped with me in it.
