I did a cookie in the Starbucks parking lot this morning just to see how it felt.

Colorado cookies?

That's what I was guessing. Never heard it that way before.

Even without looking, I knew that came from someone in CO. About once a year my SIL will post a poll on FB about what you call it. They have lived in Denver the past 15+ years but both her and my BIL grew up in SD and call it a donut.

Acorn squish takes way too long to bake. Jumped started it in the micro for 4 minutes. Hoping that cuts bakey time to sometime more reasonable. Ain't nobody got a hour or so for a little squish to cook.

Did find a good hack for cutting this little ******* in half without endangering your fingers. Cooked to the whole thing in the micro for one minute, softened just enough for a big chef knife to cut without hammering it with a mallet. Easy Peasy.

I don’t use my Instant Pot for a whole lot, but cooking squash (and potatoes and rice) is one thing I do use it for. A small to medium-ish spaghetti squash cooks in less than 20min.

Still trying to get over this damn cold. Two weeks now, sometimes it feels like it's busting loose, and then my cough gets all tight again. I suppose I have walking pneumonia by now. Only thing that gives me some relief is repeated applications of Canadian whiskey.

Things I learned today:
1. The Last Jedi is OK. I generally enjoyed it. It suffers from people's identification with the old characters more than the new ones, I think, but the film was OK.
2. Interview next week. That seems good, too.

#2 is for the ISU one?

Not exactly sure.
Listening to the radio and a couple power rock ballards come on, kids now a days have no clue what they are missing without them. Nothing like Sebastian Bach letting my lucky lady know that I remember her.

My great grandpa named his first daughter Anna, after losing his first wife he married a woman named Anna, she liked the name so they named one of their daughters (My grandma) Anna. She married a man whose mom was named Anna. He also had a sister named Anna. My dad did not marry a woman named Anna but my mom’s mom was named Anna. It gets difficult at times to keep tract of all of them. I am certain that I am missing one in there and I’m not going to mention my cousins who named their kids that.
