I picked a great time to go north later this week. I'll be out on a lake all day with highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s every day. At least it is only supposed to rain all day only one of the days. The rest of the days just overcast with an occasional shower.
Why would you take your bike out on a lake?

My daughter's boyfriend is on a bike racing team. They've had two meets scheduled so far this fall. Both have been called off due to weather.

I was looking at suggested articles on my phone and noticed that Build A Bear is going to do some sort of Dr Who thing to kick off the new season coming up....

Not exactly sure.
My eyebrows have developed dandruff all of a sudden. Either that or my eyebrows are falling off. My I have contracted a leper disease.

Dew point up to 72 degrees. Think I'll take death cold (day 10) out for a short ride anyway. Pavements dried some so maybe won't get the full rooster-tail jersey.

Hung out with friends the other night and had another "just you wait for when you have kids" moment. They were talking about Halloween and how they were excited to hand out candy now that they have a house in a good neighborhood. They were surprised when we told them that most trick or treating is pretty much done by 7-7:30 in our experience. She works until 6-6:30 and he works until at least 5 an hour away. We are looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

You need to singe (burn) them off. Sort of like prairie grass and forests need fire for rejuvenation, your eyebrows need to be burned back to stay healthy. Let them go too long and when they finally do catch fire you are likely to just completely burn to ash. They will say it's spontaneous human combustion but it will really be negligent eye brow maintenance.

You read it here first!

My BFF had prostate cancer a couple years ago.....had surgery to remove the gland, plus many radiation treatments, as it had spread to the surrounding lymph glands too.

He has been suffering all kinds of ailments since, including shingles, headaches, passing of blood from both ends, and so on. His doctor believes his immune system was compromised (and weakened) by the radiation.

Now his PSA is elevated again, and will be undergoing all kinds of tests to determine whether or not the cancer has returned. He makes a fairly meager living, and is supporting both an ex-wife and a daughter who has 3 children by 2 different men and relies on him a great deal.

I worry for him. He is not defeated by any of it, at least openly. But everyone has a tipping point. The vixen and I have tried to give him all the support we can, but I'm afraid if he is diagnosed positive again, he'll sink into depression and then, who knows.

Any and all good thoughts and prayers (yeah, I know, not politically correct, but I am a Christian and I think it helps) would be appreciated. I know all my RTT family are a caring, wonderful bunch. :)

My prayers are with your friend, his family and you.
