I think he left the wall and was going north of north with the wildings from whence they came?

I kind of wanted to see Drogon roast Jon. Would have liked that ending for Jon better.

I don't think there is a purpose, but Grey Worm doesn't know that. It looked like there isn't even a nights watch, just Jon. I'm thinking they sentenced him to nights watch (wink, wink) to pacify Greyworm knowing he would just go live with the Wildlings. He didn't really have a home down south anyway.

Really, my only big complaint is that they definitely could have used another 4 episodes or so to flesh out the story to make it not so rushed. I think the same outcomes would have been more easily digested with a longer setup.

Had the season delivered I think I would have thought this ending better. Episode 3 was the peak for me. The happily ever afterish ending was just not what I wanted but I guess I had my hopes up too high. Was hoping for something on par with the red wedding.

Jon walks past Grey Worm slaughtering Lannister soldiers, and then Grey Worm is standing on the steps as Jon approaches Dany.

Actually, that's another one of my complaints - if the North is independent, what right does the Six Kingdoms have to send people to the Wall - a wall that is no longer necessary, for the record.
