If the freshmen didn't feel the rivalry before the game, they understand now. Already can't wait for next year in Hilton.

For the most part, the freshmen did fine. THT scored 21 and Haliburton 10. Defensively and on the glass we were abused by Cook though.

I hate losing to Iowa. Just the worst fan base on earth.

But I am not worried about playing 2nd fiddle to their BBall program. That program is all about the McCaffrey's for the next 3-5 years and there is nothing good that can come of that. Narcissistic hot heads. Hopefully they will leave a stain on that program similar to Alford.
Make no mistake, we have a better team than Iowa. It will be nice once we actually get our team from injury

Iowa won their Super Bowl, finals, whatever you want to call it. We'll be fine this year, we still aren’t with our two most important players, we have a ton of young guys who are playing their first true road game, and we will do better than Iowa in he NCAA tournament. I’d rather have an Alamo bowl win that this game anyday
This right here. A group of seasoned vets had their butts handed to them here two years ago. No championships run through Iowa City and come March no one will give a s*** about what happened here. Unless you live your life to beat Iowa....then that is a you problem. As for the McCaffery's.................dad and son need to relax, sit back and drink a tall cold glass of grow the F up.

Playing 4 guards and a small forward will do that

True, but there were some put back dunks with correct positioning they wouldn't have gotten - at least as easily, and a few could have become fouls on them. But you know. The issue isn't even the rebounding - it's just blocking their path to the hoop. There were probably 5 times they had a unblocked path to the hoop and just an easy put back dunk or tip.

this is what happens when u have a coach that knows not how to teach a team to play slow when its time to slow and play fast when its time to play fast and this is why stevie the therapist will never do well in march and guess what fred doesnt either. we need a young tom izzo.

Be sure to let us know when a "young tom izzo" comes strolling into Ames.

Shayok and Jacobson were being kinda d**cks there with McCaffrey, but I think it all went back to McCaffrey starting the "fight" in the 1st half by running his mouth.

I've never seen Prohm like that before. I wonder what he was telling Fran's assistant?

Why are the McCaffrey's such d-bags though?

All I can say is thank goodness I don't have to watch that Iowa team play ever again this year. That stuff is hard to watch. I'd much rather watch basketball being played, which ISU is better at. Turning it into a brawl is not what I enjoy watching.
I hope they get to play West Virginia!!!

Hawkeye
The brown ring around a person’s anus that many porn stars bleach for appearance. Many people believe that the name originated from a college football team located in Iowa and is based upon their poor performance, however the name comes from the puckering effect bleach has upon the anus when first applied, making it look like the eye of hawk.
Goldie Cox, a famous porn star nearing the end of her career decided to bleach her hawkeye in an attempt to gain a stronger following.
