Yeah if ISU had more than one open scholarship I’d say they take a look but they should be pretty attractive for a sit out transfer. Plus, I dont know if you want 5 hs kids in one clss.
Looking back, Rivals made their final basketball update to the 2017 class on April 12th last year. Probably means we're due for an update in the next couple weeks. A 247 update has got to be coming soon as well. It's been forever...

Evans giving a 3 star shooting guard high praise as the top available guard in the class... Possible Tye showed a lot of improvement over the school year.

This is the type of kid Iowa picks up. Then plasters "top Available guard" all over the place and acts like they got the top guy in the class. Then two years down the line, after accomplishing nothing. They trash him and say he should transfer.
IDK There are instances where players who are ranked low commit early and blow up over their senior season end up succeeding at higher levels. Graham of KU was one of those committed early got his release late from App St and earned his scholarship in the B12. Obviously that is the high end of possibilities
I haven't seen Fagen play, but curious what offers he gets once he officially get's his release before I put the "Iowa player" label on him. Anyway Fran rarely goes after guys who blow up late he has his scholly's spoken for 2-3 years a head of time. Gives time for the Hawkeye media to pump up their prospects.
We'll know Friday where Tyler will end up Baylor is the favorite with Memphis and ISU as possibilities.
To be clear I don't think ISU will be the choice.

Unless Baylor shows up this week with a big bag of cash, I think he'll sign with Memphis. Mom is a big Penny backer and wants him to stay home like past Tiger hometown legends.

How funny would it be if we just got blindsided with his commitment... not that I think it will happen, or any really does. Just an amusing thought.
Don't understand how a mother could send their kid to Baylor unless they had no other options.
