He is certainly the only one on the radar that I would take right now. I still think at his size he is a bit of a gamble (see Custer).

Custer was more of a scrawny factor, not a short factor.
And not quite slow, but not athletically gifted as even Monte. Classic fundamentals guy. Harris is pretty quick.
I'm rooting for Loyola but that team should get worked by a more athletic team in the tourney. The Valley is trash this year.
I don't think Custer is anywhere near as explosive/fast as Harris is, though. See Frank Mason.
Yeah, I see Halliburton as the type of guy that can play with another PG on the floor, giving the offense flexibility out top. He could go from 1-3 depending on what we needed (thinking mainly for 2019), so it would be nice having Harris to take the 1 and allow for two solid ball handlers out top (at least). Coach Prohm certainly seems to like having that option.
Harris is super fast/quick, has unlimited range on his 3 pointer, and if comes here will have arguably the 2nd highest vert on the team behind only Wigginton. Not quite the same player Custer was.
I actually think Loyola could be one of the 12-5 upsets this year.
Loyola plays classic upset team basketball. Can get hot from 3, can rebound, and hustle. Classic old school Missouri Valley team that could pull the 12-5 upset or 13-4 upset.
I don't know that Harris' AAU team and Penny's got along. I thought I heard that somewhere
No ISU connection and Cyclones don’t even have an open scholarship but a sharp shooting JUCO would be a welcome addition to next years squad.
With Kevin Ollie parting ways with UCONN with NCAA sanctions looming I am curious if the Huskey recruits may re-open their recruitments. Notable as ISU was in Akinjo top 5 and had a visit scheduled prior to committing to UCONN.

No. Actually, it's not.
Even without Wichita State any longer, the MVC is actually better according to the KenPom rankings; 9th out of 32 conferences so far. Last year they were 10th.
Akinjo chose the Huskies over several Power Five programs, including Maryland, Iowa State and Virginia. He had official visits to the latter two schools planned, but obviously they have now been cancelled.

How do you figure that? When a conference is more highly rated currently than it was last year, that usually means it's a better conference.
Higher ranking one year doesn’t mean “better” than a lower ranking the previous year.
Example: The number two ranked player in the 2018 class can be better than the number one ranked player in the 2017 class.
I’m not saying the MVC is better or worse, I don’t know. I’m just pointing out the flaw in the logic that was used.
