You guys played right into Jon’s hands by letting this thread reach five pages of (mostly) complaints. I’m honestly impressed with the amount of petty in this thread.
Don't forget the lying also. Every other person in this thread is saying they didn't/won't listen to it and yet its one of the most downloaded podcasts ever. Hmmmmm...

Unless hawk fans came over to listen to this, no idea how it could be a top 10 listened to podcast. Can't stand anything Jon Miller. He is a condescending jerk when it comes to anything ISU, and I have zero interest in his opinion on anything. This is one of the first CF podcasts I have intentionally skipped in awhile.

Chris, hawk fans may not like you or think you are a DB, but you at least show their team/fans some respect. Jon does not.
Because much like many people who lied about voting for Trump, many of our fans don't want to publicly admit that they follow the Iowa football program very closely.

I listened to the whole thing, and found myself rolling my eyes a handful of times (even audibly voicing my displeasure to nobody) at things that Jon would say. Kudos to Chris for how he stayed so silent/calm when Jon was obviously taking shots (with terrible takes) constantly to start the pod. But, I still liked hearing about players/schemes/etc. that I didn't know about the Hawkeyes previously.

P.S. - That "Marketing" stance Jon took is the pettiest thing I have EVER heard haha. Did he really think Campbell was trying to "claim" the "Fight for I, S, U" as his own "genius" marketing?? lol

Here is where I will disagree. He let Jon go on for at least 15 minutes on the same old hawk troll crap we've heard for 20 years. That's not new, that's not interesting, and quite frankly while it was true for a long time it's just not the case anymore.

I would have loved a pod that talked about matchups, broke down the game, etc. If I was getting a pod starring @hawkize I could have at least been informed beforehand.

I think you are missing his point. If Iowa schedules easy teams, other than ISU. The easy teams will not take the Iowa game seriously and come to lose. A bad ISU teams will still give everything they got against a good Iowa team because of instate rivalry (Hawk trolls call it little brother syndrome). It is like how UNI shows up against us or Iowa. For Iowa if they win, the win does not help with rankings, if they lose, it impacts their chances for good bowl games. So why not schedule an easy team who will come in to take the beating for a check.
Really guy? This is the argument you're going with?

I enjoyed it. I listen to Jon Miller and laugh at him. He's the literal stereotype definition of a Hawk bozo, right down to how ******* great he thinks he is (or the Hawks are). Him and Deace were wildly entertaining to listen to because they both think they're in the top 1% of intelligence, but Deace (as ****** up as he is) is quite a bit smarter than Miller and would run circles around him.

Chris let him off easy, but being the hammer has never been Chris's style either. Just by not spewing a pile of ignorant crap, Chris came off the winner, if you will.

Jon Miller is a turd, but his unearned self-satisfaction is too damn funny not to pick up every once and awhile. I don't think he's ever recovered from conference realignment. He was 100% convinced that ISU would be in the Mountain West AT BEST right now. He played it off like he felt bad for ISU, but he was down right giddy.

This was kind of like the 'how long can you hold your face in front of a bowl of diarrhea' game. I made it about 9 minutes.
....and still of all the podcasts produced on CF, this was one of the highest turnouts of people wanting to put their face in front of a bowl of diarrhea.

Something is not adding up.

Yeah I doubt that.

At the rate (looking at the numbers this morning), this is going to at the very least crack the top 10 for our most listened to podcasts. Didn't expect all of you guys to love Jon. I haven't looked but I'm sure the posters on HN aren't crazy about me. Just wanted throw out a fun, different, interesting piece on game week supporting a mutual sponsor of the two sites.

I don't like Jon Miller but holy **** re138, did he **** your spouse or something?
Worse.

On the last full moon (one before this one) I discovered a fully werewolfed Jon Miller trying to mate with my Alaskan husky. Also, my chicken coup had been decimated.

How can you tell the difference between werewolf JM and normal JM?

I startled the beast and before it turned to run away into the forest I noticed hair in the shape of a tigerhawk on it's abdomen. It made a strange garbled noise which I presume was some sort of lycan language for "Hawkeyes on my belly!"...

Listened for like 6 minutes and then realized I've seen enough condescending, arrogant trolling on Twitter for the past month from Hawkeye fans that it wasn't worth my time. I really would have enjoyed hearing someone from each side break down the matchups, but listening to someone wave their troll schtick just isn't all that enjoyable.

As bad as Miller is, CW is far more frustrating to listen to. I'm glad I didn't listen.
