Um......while this is a "close source" to the program....can we not agree it is in her best interests to only say good things?

She has like 57 conflicts of interest here. She shouldn't be within 100 miles of a microphone on this case.

Please keep politically sensitive comments, such as discussing Black Lives Matter and homosexuality, out of this thread, as it is newsworthy and we'd like to keep it open. If you want to discuss such political matters, please open a thread in the Cave to discuss.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO BELIEVE HER.

she thinks it was racial, so she is either lying or she thought it was racial.

boy, that was hard.

Based on the filed lawsuit, she believes it was racially motivated. Her belief does not make it fact for everyone else.

This is why these suits go through courts...evidence, proof, witnesses carry a lot more weight than one person's complaints, justified or otherwise.

I see why you're saying this, but even though i disagree with the past allegations re:homosexual treatment i do see their relevance to this discussion.

Like I said, SHE thought it was racially motivated. SHE did. So there are racial implications in this case - because SHE thinks so.

I am actually surprised she is talking considering her Father-in-law is the defendant. Probably best to not speak publicly.

It's a shotgun lawsuit. Pretty much after everyone including Bill, ISU and the State of Iowa so all of you Iowa residents are kinda defendants.

Either this thread will set a CF record for women's basketball or it will get shut down for crazy.

The her side of the story (i.e. the lawsuit) should attempt to lay out the facts that this was the case.

The facts as laid out indicate two things to me: Ms. Moody was singled out for disparate treatment (Fennelly clearly didn't like her) and the 3 black seniors (Moody, Williamson and Ellis) were not treated like previous senior classes.

The latter claim seems more significant to me. But it is really only relevant if Williamson and Ellis felt the same way - AND there is evidence that the disparate treatment of seniors was specifically because of their race.

My totally uniformed guess is the racial stuff is slim and it won't make it far but this will force ISU to take a hard look at how Fennelly treats his players in general. You can be a hardass without being abusive.
