Glad to see we ignored Niang towards the end of the game once again. That seems to work well.

Im starting to wonder if the players and coaching staff is incapable of actually learning from previous experiences.
I would have to say no based on what we have seen so far

This team returned more than any Hoiberg team ever did and is slated to finish worse than any Hoiberg team since after his 1st season. If prohm wins out he will tie Hoiberg best big 12 regular season record. 1 loss will match Hoiberg's worst record not counting his 1st year. Which gets a pass because mcdoormat. Lose 2 games and he will have taken a far more heralded team to its worst big 12 record in 5 years. Lose 3 more games in the regular season and pollard should seriously consider looking for a new coach.

The guys did not play their butts off...when Taurean Prince is grabbing a rebound under the basket, then dribbing 94 feet down the basket past everyone for a dunk, they are not 'playing their butt off', when Baylor is getting layup after layup after layup, without really having to work the ball around on offense, we are not 'playing our butt off'.

We gave another half*** effort on defense, and we got the result that comes with it.

I think they did. They're tired. Our starters played 22 more minutes than theirs. We give up a lot of size to them, especially with McKay fouling out.

Our guys don't grasp the importance of each possession which blows my mind, considering all of our close losses...look how many layups we just gave Baylor tonight that they didn't have to work for at all...absolutely inexcusable. You expect this type of stuff from underclassmen, not a senior laden group hellbent on proving everybody wrong after last year.

Do you udnerstand basketball at all? baylor's game plan was to faceguard him tight the rest of the game. He wasn't open Passes to him would have been deflected or stolen.

Riiiight. And there is absolutely NOTHING we could have changed offensively to get him the ball (like have him take it up the court).

But it you are right, let's settle for off balance Morris shorts and 3s that hit the side of the backboard. Makes sense.

This team has a good chance at really, really blowing future recruiting for Prohm. no matter what the next few games happen, it will be prime time embarassment at Lawrence.....name the score. Commentators will be mocking us. Then if we are one and out of Big12 tourney, we are a 9 seed and will probably get mocked in the tournament. We all have our *******.....the free throw problem started of course early and is attributable to directly about 4 losses. Another thing I don't see is Matt Thomas hitting clutch threes.....hell, he won't even shoot them in the clutch. He is like Nader and Monte both....might hit a three now and then, but in clutch is absent. Maybe stats tell us otherwise....but would like to see him hitting those last minute threes that Naz would get. Instead, we get Monte chuck ups which worked earlier in the year in close games....not so much lately. How can we not have another Center on scholarship? If the big white dude is on scholie, then put him in damn it.

Prohm is blowing recruiting for Prohm. He doesn't have it. He is weak, not in control and just doesn't know what to do in game. I think he can put a game plan together if he has a few days to think about it. But the dude is frozen over there. One of the worst in game coaches I have seen.

Here's my meltdown post of the night:

Prohm reminds me a bit of Rhoads. Seems like a good guy, but his in-game adjustments and strategics (timeouts, end of game situations) is certainly lacking. Losing way too many close games down the stretch.

This is on Prohm, we had 5 guys play really hard and really well and the coaching was just awful. Prohm is so bad it's comical at this point. Guy has no clue, no clue. His in game coaching is awful, some of the worst I have seen. Timeout selection horrible, game plan horrible. Lineup selection just awful most of the game, refuses to work the refs, horribly disorganized, horrible defensively.

I am done with this guy, he is weak, and overmatched night in and night out.

He seems like a nice guy though. Let's give him another five to seven years to figure things out like we did with Paul Rhoads.

Every game, I can casually sit and enjoy the game. And then the last few minutes are incredibly aggravating time and time again. WTF is with our terrible, terrible end of game shots? Somebody please tell Morris that walking up the floor and hoisting a contested 3 is not a good shot in a tie game. Hey, maybe next time we'll at least jog up the floor and maybe that second shot would have counted!

Georges got his last shot in regulation with 6:11 remaing, and took one shot in OT. In the last 11 minutes of the game, our best player took 2 shots. So of course we lost. Makes sense.

Well KC is where we last beat them so maybe if the matchup happens KC will be our good luck charm.

I'm not one to ever really bag on the coach, especially one in Prohm's position, but if they meet again this season, and they continue to do the same thing against us they have the last two, I may seriously look at criticizing Prohm.
