I'm not going anywhere I'm going to stay. You think I was going away? Dude, don't even step to me because you don't get it, you are in another freaking stratosphere. We have the glory, we have the rings, we are entitled to a down game. I want to inflict pain on their pitchers, hit Hamels hard. I want to see Kris fall down, hit him in the knee. That Sea of Red game 5, I want to see them go freaking nuts, after we beat you AGAIN. The Cubs is Dead!

We have reached FULL BODE!

Really cool Ryne Sanberg threw out the opening pitch last night wearing Ernie Banks jersey. Glad to see Ryno back in town.

I would prefer the wind not blow out today. The better the pitching conditions the closer Hammels stuff is to Lackey's. Hammel has been susceptible to the long ball lately. But, if it is blowing out it could be another fun one.

Not a big baseball junkier where I know the league well, so I'm interested in those who consider themselves one's opinion. If the Cubs where to win this series (trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but what the heck), who would you consider the better matchup for us, the Mets or the Dodgers? Essentially, I'm just trying to determine who I should root for.

STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR STL..... Now it's time to quit f-ing around and do our job. I just placed a bet on the Cards today and feeling good. Lackey is our best pitcher and it's on his shoulders today. Time for our bats to make some serious noise. 4 more hours.

Lackey is good but he also gives up HR's more often than Martinez, Lynn, Wainright, and Garcia. I understand those guys aren't all healthy/available but the way the Cubs were raking last night, it could be trouble.

Lackey also has been significantly better at home than on the road this year, not to mention the decline in performance that comes with starting on short rest.

Dodgers have a better offense and have better 1 & 2 pitchers, but the Mets have a pretty great 1-4. So probably want the Mets to advance but at least against the Dodgers you'd have the chance to face Brett Anderson or whoever they send out there for game 4.

Russell not in lineup. No MRI expected.
