The worst for me is my body doesn't recover like it used to. I was a high school and collegiate runner, but now I run 6 miles and I pay for it awhile longer. Also, I get cold faster. My hands are always freezing.

I'm not even that old. Just mid 30s. But I'm amazed out how easy it is to hurt my lower back and how long it takes to recover from any kind of injury.

This. Back in July I was down for 3 days for literally turning around too fast. :arghh:

Other than that, kids are getting dumber, stay off my lawn, blah, blah blah.

Seriously - I know it's been flipping cold already this "winter", but I'm a bit spooked this year that I'm just insanely cold all the time so far. I mean ridiculously cold. I even have my "winter layer" on already. I may become a snow bird at 43.

On the subject of movies- I do think that the quality of movies have declined, but I also think it's harder to be impressed as you get older. Seems like every plot line you've seen done ten different ways, so very few of the stories are original any more. However, when you do see an original movie, it's that much better. This is especially true of comedies.

Insomnia, I agree with so many here. My lower back is also constantly a mess.

Somewhat related, but somewhat the opposite. Sitting down on the stool and feeling cold water touching the distended orbs. TMI? Don't know if this will get pulled but yeah, it happens when you're getting older, dude.

Your balls hang in the water when you take a dump? Man I hope sea level is higher where you live.

And they're just so fakey. Millions of explosions and the hero doesn't get shredded, just thrown 30 yards from the blast. All the computer generated special effects seem over the top to me. Also could not give a rat's *** about spiderman, stretchyman, icicle boy, lasso girl etc. and all the superhero stuff. There is Superman and then there's Batman and then there's who cares...

My drive for "romance" is amazingly strong still. So that's a plus

I am surprised that I've lost the high end of my lung capacity. I can still jog all day, but any sprint work and I just don't have that gear any longer

Kinda weird but what's surprised me is that I don't "feel" old. I feel like the exact same person as when I was 18. I guess I always figured at some point people say, "yeah, I'm (age) and I feel that way"... I don't even think I look that different but I clearly do.

While the longer recovery time is real it always surprises me. I'll be like, "why the **** does my back and hands feel so bad"??? (it was because I was shoveling snow for like an hour). I'll genuinely forget how old I am.

I'm in some weird age denial. It's nice.

I have a problem most of you don't -- menopause. I keep waiting to have the symptoms they have on TV, but so far I have had one hot flash. I guess it is just not what I expected. Mostly I feel a lot more tired with it. And just when I have a break of a few months and think maybe it is over, I get that awful reminder that no, it is not.

My burning desire to still play video games. I love them. We don't have children yet, but I'm sure when they come my video game playing will decrease...at least for a little while.

As for nose hair...I pluck them suckers. EVERY. LAST. ONE.
