I was reading new posts in a thread and a popup kept appearing for "setup exe" (yes, no). Don't remember which page. I cancelled it three times. This was all in the space of two or three minutes, on the same page of a thread. ​

Perhaps I have noticed similar item for Firefox. If I click on left side of screen to change my mouse click setting, up pops a CF video like how to build an angie hamburger at the bball game. This has happened on my desktop ten times over last few days.

Yeah...not sure if this was intended to be helpful, but it's an abject failure if it was.

Have you run a virus and malware scanner? I have never seen a .exe pop up.

try running malwarebytes on your machine.

Haven't seen it before either. I use adblocker, and I noticed that one of the ads on the page was playing (and the audio was on) at the same time. Made me wonder if maybe one of the ads was trying to sneak something on here.

Is malwarebytes a download/program? I'm not familiar with it.
