I have been traveling the past few weeks and managed to see Peter Frampton in the Charlotte Airport. It got me wondering who is the most famous person I have ever run into in person.

So who is yours?

(Concerts do not count)

Met Ron Livingston at a coffee shop. Saw James Cromwell in an airport in LA. Was about 5 feet away from Frank Caliendo after a show.

I shook hands and spoke very briefly to Jackie Stewart, and at the same event shook hands but did not speak to Nelson Piquet. Later that evening I had a decent conversation with David Hobbs.

Not sure if it counts, but I talked too and bought Sturgill Simpson a beer after he played at The Surf last year.

Also I saw Al Snow at the Detroit Airport. That was cool.

The most amusing was seeing Gallagher at the airport. I knew it was Gallagher for sure because he was wearing a denim jacket with his own name bedazzled on the back. He had a handler or something making sure he got to his gates on time, and he was a royal jerk to the poor person. You know, because he's Gallagher and still so relevant.

I saw the first lady Michelle Obama at an event in Windsor Heights that I was doing special EMS detail for. Was about 10 feet from her.

I saw Michael Jordan at the Chicago airport with Scotty Pippen and the rest of the Bulls. It was 3 in the morning and I was going to Orlando and they were going to play the Heat. The only thing I had for him to sign was my airline ticket.

Also ran into Crispan Glover on Hollywood blvd and he is just as strange as every movie he is in. He looked like a homeless guy. I spoke with him for about 10 minutes. I think he was on some sort of drug. Really nice though. He had long hair and looked like a homeless Vietnam Vet.

I went to school with Joe Mauer and my sister went to school with Josh Hartnett. He was over at my parent's house many times growing up. Those aren't really household names but I think they're pretty good. Met Fran McCaffrey at a high school alumni event (his wife went to my alma mater) and my dad's company had Vikings tickets the row behind Kevin Garnet.

Passed Oprah Winfrey in the hall at the Crown Center in KC when the Cyclones were playing in Big 8 tourney forever ago.
