Are there some bands you loved before the radio played the crap out of them, or before you started hearing them everywhere?

I loved Kings of Leon before they were played to death a few summers ago, now I just turn the channel. I hate that I'm starting to get burnt out on the Black Keys, too.

I mostly listen to stuff pre-1990.

Four Seasons - and now I just really don't appreciate any falsetto male lead vocal acts (Lou Christie, Little Anthony, etc).

Neil Diamond - was never a big fan or anything, but now I pretty much have to change the station.

All they play on Lazer is the hits, they never play a random song from the albums and it starts to suck. I now change the station whenever previously mentioned bands are in the lineup.

+ 1 on Black Keys and I love them. Funny that was the first band I thought of when I read the thread title. But when you crank out new albums at a pace of about every 10 months...

I don't know if over saturation has really ruined a band for me, but I choose to listen to their music in my free time less if their over-saturated.

I don't actively listen to Top 40/Pop, but my girls do, so I get exposed quite a bit. Some of it I find "not bad", but wow do they overplay pretty much everything in the current top 10. It's easy to like a song/artist and the next week be so sick of them due to hearing the song every time that station is put on.

The Rhianna/Eminem song "Monster" is a perfect example.

AC/DC & Led Zeppelin. I can't listen to the radio anymore.

[like the bands- just tired of their hits]

This. If the radio would just learn to play something besides the same 4 songs from each band it would be different.

Also, the hook/chorus of any song my daughter likes. It becomes oversaturated in a 20 minute car ride.

I generally listen to the local classical station. I called in one time to make a request and the studio host(DJ) said "we just played that piece 3 weeks ago."

I never really cared for them anyways, but I'll change the station whenever a Black Keys song comes on.

This is Rihanna, in college whenever Rihanna came on it was our groups cue to leave the room.

I enjoyed early Foo Fighters, but not so much the newer stuff. Even if I were a big fan of their newer stuff, though, they're on the radio ALL. THE. TIME.
