I just don't like the guy, period......and it is not just because he is usually against ISU. I just think he is an obnoxious human being.
I do think NCCU will give ISU all they want in the game though. They are a very good defensive team, and I think it may take some time for ISU to figure it ouit, but I don't see NCCU being able to match ISU offensively. ISU absolutely MUST dictate the pace of this game.

NC CEntral is a good team and any team who has won 20+ games in a row (I don't care what level you are talking about) is scary. Their defensive numbers are impressive and I'm guessing they are very confident. I could see this game being close but I think we get it in the end and helps us to rol over NC on Sunday.

His reasoning is bull ****. Our bench could have made a solid run through their schedule. No doubt NCCU is a decent team, but people are forgetting the competition these numbers were against. ISU is one of the best teams in the country and has yet to lose on a neutral floor. Our guys are battle tested and ready. Gottlieb is an idiot.
I just had to laugh when I saw that. Not because NC Central doesn't have a chance, but because of course he has Iowa State getting upset and that being one of the few upsets he has.
Ya know, when I was in HS we looked good on Defense against 1A teams, but when we played 3A or a 4A (Just once) we were overwhelmed and outgunned.

NCCU has played one of the worst schedules in the country, forgive me if I don't give much credence to the number of wins they were able to get. I don't think any game in the tournament is easy, an certainly there are no gimmes, but we are a much better team than NCCU and have the proof against top quality competition to back it up.
Gottlieb will be on the Iowa State bandwagon next year after we make a deep run this year. Just watch.
