Also, you'd be blind if you think RV will still commit here after Grandstaff decommitted from Shove U.

I don't know whether this is how it went down, but I'm sure Hoiberg called him after RV told him he wasn't coming here and said "well, you know…RV isn't coming here…" decommit.

And just like any game of telephone **** gets totally warped. When there is a deficiency of information(as there most certainly is in this case), people make inferences and that's how rumors get started.

Fred tells staff he's worried UNLV is making a late recruiting push. The staff tells friends that UNLV has the momentum. The friends tell their friends that RV is most certainly picking UNLV.

It's all totally bogus unless it comes directly from RV or somebody he is close to. Whether the "sources" are saying it's good or bad for ISU, that's the way it is.

I doubt the "insiders" know anything. Look at two recent KU commits for evidence. Similar to Vaughn, The experts were all starting to jump on the Cliff Alexander to Illinois bandwagon leading up to his announcement and then he picks KU.
Most experts started picking Wiggins to UK near the end and then he announces for KU.
There are many more examples as well. I believe it when Vaughn says nobody knows but him and his family.

How in the world are Vaughn and Grandstaff related even slightly? Grandstaff is a 2015 recruit.

Im pretty sure the OSU dumpster fire was enough to get him to decommit.

I knew Doug McDermott pretty well in HS and he told me where HB was going a few days before he Skyped Roy Williams. The recruits don't make it a blindside-type thing. It isn't a "wait until the day of" type thing.

And if he's announcing in a week and didn't tell anyone where he's going, why would Hoiberg cancel his visit to Las Vegas? (If thats true, which I've heard from other posters.)

You know why Jeff B. and Myles don't know? Because those who do know wouldn't ever tell them or the snakes that want to go out and say "Rashad is going to XXX. No need to watch his announcement."

I don't mind people that come on here and share information that they have gathered, but there seems to be a decent number of them playing the "I know something you don't know" card, which is completely annoying on a message board where everyone is able to hide behind anonymity.

Either come out and say what you know, or be quiet.

That said, I am fully expecting UNLV for Vaughn tomorrow. I have zero insider knowledge to support that. But I am an Iowa State fan.

Marvin Clark is a forward. Vaughn is a shooting guard.

The two are mutually exclusive.


I would say going after Clark is more indicative of our situation with Cunningham(we are now officially out on him) than it is of our situation with Vaughn.

So you have no idea. I think Vaughn will tell the coaches before the announcement, but who is to say that Vaughn's timeline will be the same as HB's?
