What would a guy do with 3 mil a year in Ames Iowa? Willing to bet Hoiberg is more than satisfied with what he is getting.
Not to mention the other $10+ million he earned from the NBA, which I'm sure there's still a good amount left (he doesn't seem like the type that spends money on tons of BS), and I'm sure over $1 million more from the front office from the twolves, plus the few million he's made from ISU.
I think this is a unique situation here and I really love it. The guy grew up in Ames, a ball boy for ISU, then telling Tom Osbourne to **** off so he could play bball for ISU, only to contact the Iowa State AD about the head coaching position a few times wanting it. I don't think he's going to leave after just four seasons. This isn't like we got some coach who's been living and coaching in NYC all his life and has had no feelings for the university until being hired. Hoiberg grew up bleeding ISU and I'm extremely certain he wants to see ISU way back up there. Same as many as you, just put yourself in his shoes which isn't hard to do. Most die hard ISU fans would turn down getting paid more (which is still a lot of money) to make their team have huge success.
