Wednesday at 8:30 central on ESPNU. This game should tell us a lot about our team and its ability to win on the road. BYU can put up some serious points with their backcourt. Watch out for Haws, expect Long on him. In the end I think Mel goes beast mode again for 20 and 10!

For how good I felt going into the Michigan game, I feel the exact opposite for this one

First road test for a young team. Can't feel too good about that. BYU is a solid team.

I just dont want to see a let down game after the BIG Michigan win... That is what I fear most.

Tyler Haws missed their last two games with an "abdominal strain", so of course he'll play. He was averaging ~30 ppg in their first two.

Of their 8 players who have averaged >10 minutes a game, Haws is 6'5", they have 2 6'10" guys and then there are 5 guards under 6'3". Once again I would expect us to go small, their posts don't really worry me.

They have played at an extremely fast pace so far this year, averaging around 95 ppg, including a 113-102 barn burner win over Stanford.

It should be a very entertaining up and down game in a hostile atmosphere and a really good test for our team.

I think the Clones come up a big short due to red hot BYU shooting, losing 88-80.

I was really impressed by BYU against Stanford - they are big, can shoot, and they really push the tempo and drive. If we don't shoot well, we may get hammered. I think they win 80-70. They have a great homecourt atmosphere as well - no shame in losing @BYU.

I predicted a win against Michigan, but I have to go with a loss against BYU. A lot different when traveling 1,100 miles to play in front of 20,000 opposing fans. Also, while BYU is not near as good as Michigan, they are still pretty solid.

Can't predict as I know very little about them. I do know 2 consecutive wins this big would be huge for this team. Not many media are paying attention to BYU and it clearly seems like they should be.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to predict a win @BYU, but the way we won yesterday makes me optimistic about our chances. It's not like we got super-hot and pulled out a lucky one against Michigan. We just played well and won, if that makes any sense. Different situation on the road, obviously, but I do think this team is pretty mentally tough.

With the win over Michigan, and now having a ranking by some...it will be interesting to see how the team responds with the target painted squarely on their backs. BYU is good.....but the guys play within themselves I see us winning by at least 5.

I don't think we match up very well inside vs BYU. That being said, I think we match up wonderfully when it comes to guards. We both like to get out and run so this will be a fun one to watch. Look for Kane to have a huge game in this one. I'll say 93-91 ISU.

On the day after a great win, six of the first 10 posts are for a loss to BYU (or a fear of a loss). :skeptical:

Are their bigs better than Notre Dame last year? Can their guards play defense on ours?

We win going away in a shootout because of our hustle on the boards and for loose balls!

WE DESTROY THEM 85-58! I just got a feeling that the team is focused much earlier this year than they were last year.

Didn't ISU **** pound these guys by about 20 last year? It should be an interesting game, I know they are putting up big numbers offensively but it's not like Stanford or Weber State were rolling out an equivalent of Kane/Long/Hogue to deal with BYU's perimeter players.
