I realize that you're making a joke, but I agree 100%. Prostitution should be legalized, and regulated. Hookers would have to maintain a license and part of that license maintenance would be mandatory health checks on some kind of regular basis.

Throw in a 25% tax like CO did for weed, and away you go.

I'll throw my hat into the ring as head of the Federal Escort Service Regulatory Agency, I have to imagine mandatory workplace attire will look something similar to

Isn't it easy to determine a cop from a prostitute?

"Hey, I'm a painter and would like to do some nude shots. Can you get naked and I'll start the painting? Oh - how much would you charge for that?"

If she gets naked = no cop. Also, no solicitation.

I heard that on MANswers but not sure I believe it. Maybe the cop is really good at her job and will just get naked.

Yep, sounds about right. Page 3 on cyclone fanatic is about where most posts start to stray off into tangential territories. Morality, legalization. Someone PM me when that conversation is over, and we get to posting mug shots.

Never smoked marijuana or paid for sex(unless dates and a wedding count).

Just seems like enjoying the company of another human is a better thing to legalize than smoking a plant so you can eat chips and giggle.

Hey, by all means, start up a pro-prostitution group and lobby the government to legalize it. No reason we can't have both. I think paying for sex (directly) is sleazy and disgusting, but who am I to judge?

It would be interested to see the affect on the demand if legalized. The stigma of doing something illegal would be gone. I guess it would still be considered dirty and immoral by most.

The big difference between legalizing marijuana and prostitution is that, when done safely, smoking pot has no effect on others. Prostitution, even when legal, has a much higher moral and social effect than some dude in Colorado sitting in his basement smoking pot.

I think if you closely regulate the health of the prostitutes, you would see a much lower social effect.

Really, we need to quit legislating against "moral" issues, and by "moral", I'm referring to actions that only have direct negative impacts on the people who choose to participate in them. There will always be problems associated with these activities, but there are ways to deal with them outside the criminal justice system, which should be relegated to enforcing prohibitions on acts that do, or are directly intended to, harm or deprive another of something.

I find it funny that they mention the site theyre posting ads on. Might as well be advertising 'hey, here's where you go to get a hooker'

And good lord are there some scary looking girls on that site. Im not sure if they should be offering sex or looking to pay for it.

Man does not live by bread alone. I won't finish this statement, as I want to take it purposely out of context, considering the nutritional value of bread.
