As a college football fan who wants to see him play, I like it.

I honestly could care less if he signed autographs for money. He won the freakin heisman he can do what he wants.

Seriously.... this is dumb. From what I can tell they are saying he didn't get any money for autographs. But, he apparently did something or there wouldn't be any suspension. Yet they are not saying what he did other than take money unless I missed it?

I don't get this. The only thing that he's been accused of in this autograph deal is not something that he should be suspended for a half. If they do that believe he did anything wrong, then don't suspend him. If he did something wrong, then just suspending him a half is about 11-1/2 games too few.

I'm stealing this one from Twitter, but I think making him play the full game against Rice would be a stiffer penalty.

I would rather have had the NCAA say they can't prove anything and he gets nothing than a joke of a punishment half game suspension.

you are trying to find logic in a NCAA ruling/punishment. Don't waste you time, it doesn't exist.

Yeah normally he would play the first half against rice and then sit the second. Now he has to sit the first half and not the second. The only thing they did was switch the half he is going to play

I am glad he is able to play - he deserves to.

However, if this were an Iowa State player, Randy Peterson would say there's a chance Iowa State University gets shut down.

What a joke. When I saw the headline that he was suspended for half, I thought holy cow the NCAA actually suspended him for half the season...

Then I read the article. How gutless can they be? I'd have had more respect for them if they just didn't suspend him at all.

I didn't know you could have a punishment that was less than a slap on the wrist.

This is the equivalent of a "wag of the finger",

Exactly!!! If he is guilty they need to do much more. If he is not guilty they should do nothing.

Manziel is lucky the NCAA was worn out from coming down on Oregon so hard. Oh wait........
