Best/Favorite Iowa Beer

I gotta say I'm not an IPA guy either. I wish I were because there are a lot out there. Give me malt and lots of it!!!
I've got one in my fridge named Maltopia. I can't remember the brewer right now. I used to think there was no such thing as too much malt. This beer has challenged my thinking.
I'll be checking out the beer from the Kalona Brewing Company when I visit for my reunion this weekend. A friend from my class posted this on Facebook yesterday:

I want to check that out some time. My family has a lot of friends in the Kalona area, and I think one of them is buddies with the brewery folks (IIRC; there was beer involved when this discussion was had).
Depends on how the supply is doing in Decorah. When it's in Des Moines, it's at Bait Shop. When visiting Des Moines, I've seen it at Bait Shop a time or two.
They're currently in the process of expanding their brewhouse and production capacity. They've finished external construction but are waiting on some of the new, larger capacity equipment. Once it all arrives and gets cranking it should mean more bottles in Central Iowa liquor stores and more taps as there's a massive waiting list for bars that are looking to carry it.
(Full disclosure: a buddy of mine from college is a brewer for TG and my wife just started bartending at their taphouse part-time)
Not a fan of the IPAs either, but that doesn't stop me from trying to acquire the taste for the right brewery.
Bait Shop doesnt have any right now. Only Naughty 90, Dorothy and G Nug right now. Deschuttes Fresh Squeezed though...thats something else!
