Why are so many people into the IPAs? Wayyy too bitter for me. I have to have a good amount of malt in my beer. Which is exactly why I'm a Brown Ale, Stout and hefeweizen kind of guy.
Someday you will grow up and appreciate big boy beers.

The Germans have something to say about this.Someday you will grow up and appreciate big boy beers.

The only way to be.I like them all, equal opportunity connoisseur.
I gotta say I'm not an IPA guy either. I wish I were because there are a lot out there. Give me malt and lots of it!!!
I'll be checking out the beer from the Kalona Brewing Company when I visit for my reunion this weekend. A friend from my class posted this on Facebook yesterday:
The last of our 8 kegs of Sucha Much IPA sold out today at the state fair. Good news for us, bad news for hop heads in Des Moines. Anybody interested in tasting our English Brown Ale, Mild Start, can head to the Kalona Golf Course and grab a glass on tap in the clubhouse!
Anyone know if PseudoSue can be found in Des Moines?
Depends on how the supply is doing in Decorah. When it's in Des Moines, it's at Bait Shop. When visiting Des Moines, I've seen it at Bait Shop a time or two.
They're currently in the process of expanding their brewhouse and production capacity. They've finished external construction but are waiting on some of the new, larger capacity equipment. Once it all arrives and gets cranking it should mean more bottles in Central Iowa liquor stores and more taps as there's a massive waiting list for bars that are looking to carry it.
(Full disclosure: a buddy of mine from college is a brewer for TG and my wife just started bartending at their taphouse part-time)
Raspberry Tart is pretty good.
We picked up a bunch of their Strawberry Rhubarb this weekend. Haven't tried any yet, but I'm pretty excited.
