That's like saying hitting home runs has nothing to do with being a good baseball player. Obviously you don't need to be able to dunk/hit homeruns, but if you can, it makes you a hell of a lot better.

Bringing in Kane is good no matter what the situation is. If we aren't losing anyone else, it's awesome. And if we are losing someone else, it's still a good thing, because it helps to fill that void.
I just can't tell you if it's an upgrade or not over what we had before he came if I don't know if we're losing someone else? It could be a wash. Heck, it could be a downgrade if we're trading out an Ejim or Niang for a Kane. Nobody knows. That is ALL I'm saying.
Whether or not we are losing someone else is HUGE in this equation. So that question needs to be asked. I don't care if you work for the Des Moines Register, the CR Gazette, or Cyclone Fanatic. It is a HUGE question.

You're still equating basketball talent with the ability to dunk. There is no comparison there. I'm sorry. If you want to say he's a better athlete than Bubu, then okay. But dunking doesn't mean you have any basketball talent at all.
Usain Bolt can probably dunk. And guess what... he's really fast too. So he must be a good basketball player, right?
