I can't copy from the article, or really link it as it is an "insider" article, but........

He defines a "sleeper" class as a class ranked outside the top 10 for the year that is most likely to outperform its ranking.

He identifies 5 such classes (in order) Marquette, Michigan, BYU, California and ISU.

He talks about the contributions of Morris and Thomas of course, but also feels ISU will get good scoring from Hogue, and he feels Edozie and Armadi will finish plays well and rebound. Thinks ISU can take another big step in Big 12 this year and beyond with this group.

Not a big deal, but encouraging.

Good news bad news since we play two other teams on that list.

I would love it if Edozie and Amardi just finish well around the rim. That's something that obviously Georges is good at and Ejim is much improved at, but we really lacked that in Book and Percy. If they can just go up strong and either get fouled and or put the ball in the hoop, it will be big for us!

I would love to see these guys secure a 3rd place ranking or better next season in the B12. If that happens, no doubt in my mind they become heavy contenders the year after.

Who cares about individual games? We aren't competing with any of those teams for the conference.

Relax there turbo. I didn't make a big deal out of it. Just an observation that our non-con may be a little more difficult than we thought.

Love the pub.

Just hoping the team gels well in the non-con and takes it up a notch into conference play. Hoiberg and Co. will have the guys ready. We'll be young, but a very good team.
