The other major conference Thursday night game on the 3rd is UCLA at Utah. I'm guessing our game will be more attractive to ESPN and the UCLA-Utah game will go on Fox Sports 1.

I made a statement. You asked if you could complain. I said sure (because I wasn't talking about you in the first place). Then I said "not you personally" which means not you.
I understand both sides, it's nice to get some national spotlight especially Thursday night, just have to compete with the nfl.
However I understand those with jobs that have meetings and obligations to ditch out for a couple days to go to a football game. I missed the osu game 2 yrs ago because I had a large prospective client fly in that day.....if the game was Saturday i would have been able to make it. So I understand the frustration with the Thursday / Friday games. I used to live the Thursday games when i was a pee on at the firm.....taking 2 days for a long weekend wasn't an issue.

Any student who doesn't find this awesome has misplaced priorities. This is better for students than anyone.
I understand that some are disappointed about losing a Saturday game. However, if we want to move up the food chain we have to embrace these opportunities. Now, the team has to show up and not wilt under the bright lights. Big opportuniy, but we have to make the most of it.
This. They can just bail on Friday morning classes. Us working schmucks actually have to put in some planning and sacrifices to get to the game on a week night

Well, I guess for me it is tough. I've been swamped all year on Thursday nights. As well as every other night. I pick Saturdays to be my days off.
And to the person who asked about the NFL game, that was a separate point directed at those saying we were competing against the little sisters of the poor for ratings.
Dude, it's 6 months out. I'm sure you can move a few things around if you need to.
So we have a Saturday game with Iowa on Sept 14, and the next home game that we have on a Saturday at JTS is on October 26.
Pretty dismal schedule for those wishing to have Saturday tailgating during the nice fall weather. And as far as the exposure goes, we are playing Texas which guarantees that you get exposure anyway. Not very good IMO.
