Halo2? Are you also going to go grab Pong and Space Invaders while you are at it? If you've got to order something, why not Halo3?

I will speak for him since he's partying up while we work. He doesnt have an xbox 360. He likes mouse and keyboards better for FPS. Oh and Halo3 isnt available for PC yet. They just released halo2 out for vista pcs.

Ok, Now i will go back to being myself.

Yeah, I prefer PC games too plus there are a lot of cool mods for a lot of them out on the internet. Game consoles go obsolete too quick and get pricy having to upgrade all the time. The only gaming consoles I own are a Nintendo 64 (Mario Kart is the only reason I own it!) that I bought the other year off eBay for like $30 and a Sega DreamCast that was given to me this fall when someone was cleaning out a room in their house.

I'm really on the back side of this curve. My computer announced to me last week that the 40G HD was about full. I started dumping crap and putting some family pics on cd and somehow things are really fouling up now. I'm going to have to call my in-laws/tech support! Hopefully it doesnt die but any of those deals would make the hit a little less of a pain.

That is an absolutely insane deal. The thing that sticks out to me is a 320 GB hard drive. The amount of stuff you don't need that you could store is mind boggling.
LOL tell me about it. I have two 500GB drive in my machine.

All the (oh, we want family friendly ) pics and videos you want!

We currently carry 1TB internal Hard Drives in the University Book Store for $349. They are so heavy, it's crazy.

No - old hard drives are crazy. I took apart an old server at work after it was retired and it had an old 1GB hard drive in it. 5" full height - must have weighed several pounds. Just freaking huge.

I have the dreamcast as well. Still looking to buy some good games. Have any that your particularly love? Virtua tennis is my fave so far.

For dell deals all you really need to do is each thursday morning check their website, for both home, and small business. On the left side of the screen in each of those there is a link that says smart values and they are updated weekly.
I just picked up a core 2 duo 1gb memory 160gb hd and 19" widescreen monitor for $399 a few weeks ago. They also have a core 2 duo right now with a 17" lcd for $399 atm as well, but if you are not looking to go cheap then the one brain posted is a better deal. They also have a $399 laptop atm as well not sure on the specs.

As someone that builds and sells computers for people(not so much any more because of dell) you just can't beat their price.

"How can any company compete with dell?"

Alright let's get this thing started!

By not using windows. Buy a Mac.

I just got a Dell laptop a couple of weeks ago. I am starting a completely online grad school program, so I upgraded quite a bit and didn't go with a budget system. I found a deal that gave $500 off a laptop $1500 and above, and gave a $200 Dell giftcard on top of that. The promotion was only for the first 10000 uses of the online code, and it expired the day after I submitted my order.

Dell has some great deals. Make sure you search for coupon codes before you buy. It got me an added $700 value!

But I really hate Apple. I mean I hate them almost like I hate the president
Overpriced for what you get - but you have to give them credit for being good at marketing.

Ok, flame on apple boys. I'm sticking by my Visonman PC :notworthy:

Compare the prices of a Mac and Dell with similar specs.

I think most people, myself included, would own a Mac if they weren't so damn expensive.

Oh yeah and another thing to note on all dell orders of $500 or more you can always get 60 days same as cash on your orders. Something they don't advertise.
Another thing to note is in the past if you bought a dell home computer through the small business side, you get American based phone support with your system as opposed to overseas support that home users get.

Yeah I know - I didn't mind the premium for a couple reasons - you don't end up paying more down the road replacing components, the support is way better than any other company, and I don't waste time restarting my machine every time I try and run too many programs at once. Wasted time is lost money, right?

Actually I have a dell and a mac. My family has 3 dells. They are killer deals if you're paying attention - I just prefer OS X. I just wish I didn't have to run windows for my design software.

I trust you're kidding. I just passed the 2 TB mark at home. It's so easy to fill up hard drives with digital video these days, it's crazy. HD content is even worse. I absolutely HATE DVDs, so as soon as I get them they go electronic. An uncompressed DVD is 8GB on it's own.

i really need to consolidate all my hard drives though. It's getting nuts.
