Announced by Cyclones.com there will be no TV or Internet Broadcast for the Texas game. There will be radio though.

The Longhorn Network is a joke. To this day I don't understand how any one team should have their own station. Ridiculous.

Wow, its like you didn't even read the link you posted. Also, ISU has its own station, its just not as big as Texas's.

Did you read the article? It has nothing to do with the LHN.

The game was not selected to be shown nationally or by the Big 12 Television Network as one of its games of the week, so the telecast was made available to both school’s third-tier providers. Because of the significant production costs to send a truck to Austin and produce the game, Iowa State has chosen not to televise the game.

Some viewers have concluded that Texas’ third-tier partner (the Longhorn Network) is blocking the telecast. It is not. If we had made the choice to pay the high costs for producing the game, it likely would have been shown on local TV in our market.

The fact that it has limited access has to do with The Longhorn Network. The fact that it takes Iowa State to travel to Texas to broadcast the game has to do with the Longhorn Network. It is worthless unless you live in Texas. Yes I did read it and you all are idiots. Btw you are welcome for the information. I have an informative thread and all people do is try to start ****. Funny stuff.

I guess ISU's Senior Associate AD for Communications is also an idiot. Thanks for your insight!

Let's all back it down a notch. You're both right. In the current situation, it's not the Longhorn Network's fault as we could have sent a crew down there. However, had the Longhorn Network never existed, this game, in all probability, would have been televised.

I can hear the Texas stations better than the Cyclone network stations at night in the winter in Omaha. Shenandoah at 960 is weak at night.

Also, the fact this game was not selected to be shown nationally or by the Big 12 Television Network as one of its games of the week has a lot to do with the politics of the LHN having to get as much content as possible in an attempt to pressure cable companies to carry their network.

I also agree with your assessment that there are plenty of idiots on this site.

Hey clones85, why aren't you here to clean up the name calling? It's been almost 20 minutes. I thought that was your job.
