He coached their bowl game and won with little time to switch the team over to spread. The next season they started 4-2 and he got canned. They only won 1 more game that year and now everyone in the SEC says a spread offense just doesn't work in the SEC.
yet he did work at Kentucky. I love how SEC propoganda reached wikipedia too.

Not according to that quote. He will be the OC.

Agreed, I'm confused as heck. If he's just the QB coach it's a step down...lateral if you give credit for it being oSU.

Also confused by the "told to leave" talk too. Did I just miss us getting 6 wins (and bowl game) after being picked to win 2 games max??

Call me stubborn, but I'm going to hold out for a little more solid confirmationn that TH is going to be the head OC at tOSU...
Ya me too, I think this would be a bad hire for Meyer's level. JMO.

Only because they looked at the name on the font of the jersey.

I agree on all points. My thing I do not understand with the funds and prestige why Urban would hire a guy that has shown nothing at the Big 12 level and a level at which no defense, aside for Iowa State over the past month, has been played.

Congrats to Tom Herman. I wouldn't say he's been much-maligned around here, but he has been the whipping boy on more than one occasion. Good luck at tOSU.

My vote to replace him is Courtney Messingham. Continuity for a program trending up is important, and I think he's done a hell of a good job with the WR group this year. Money had his best season as a Cyclone, and Albert Gary has looked really good over the past few weeks. Plus the WR downfield blocking has been really good for most of the year.

I wonder if TH will get a co-OC tag to go along with the QB coach position. That would make everyone partially right.

I have a feeling TH was not forced out. He now has the opportunity to ride Urban Meyers coat tails to a BCS HC job in a few years wing tOSU is going to clean up in the B1G.

With the improvements we've seen with the WR's I'd like to keep Messingham in charge of that group. I'm certain CPR can find an OC that is a good fit with the program and runs a similar system. I'd hate to see the WR's take a step back.

I will always remember his quote after the OSU. Someone told him on the field that he called a great game. His response, "I think that was the first complement I have gotten here" that stuck in my mind.
