Obviously Harbaugh should have just vigorously pumped his fist and shouted "Mother****er!"
I don't remember Schwartz' celebration from before that well, but from what I remember them showing he threw the headset and did the fist pump, but he was still on his sideline atleast, not in the process of shaking the other coaches hand and still carrying on like that.

Schwartz did that on his sideline, clear across the field from the Vikings. Stop trying to bring that into this. The two are completely different.

six of one. Half a dozen of the other.

Some serious pot and kettle action going on here.

So your team just lost a hard fought game and the rookie opposing coach comes at you jumping up and down, pulling his shirt up, gives you a huge slap-handshake like he's on your team and you wouldn't be ****** about it? Not to mention it sure looked like something was said to Schwartz as well since there was a little delay in going after Harbaugh. I can guarantee there's 29 other NFL head coaches (maybe even 30, I don't know how well the Harbaughs get along) that would take Schwartz side. This is the first time Harbaugh's been a classless clown in that situation.
He said.... "wooh!" It then took a second for Shwartz to get butt hurt and run after him.

Unless you can show me some video of Schwartz jumping around and screaming as he was shaking hands after the Vikings game then it's not really the same thing, and I'm looking at this from an outsiders perspective, not from a Vikings fan perspective. I think it's pretty clear you didn't think much of the fist pump/"mother ******" reaction so it's safe to say it's carried over until today.

How does one act as an NFL coach? You can't show emotion or what?

apparently you have to be a sore loser and try to start a fight when someone shakes your hand in a way that you don't like. I guess that's an NFL coach.

This is exactly the correct interpretation. Harbaugh was animated. Shook Schwartz's hand a little too hard. No malice. Just enthusiasm.

Schwartz's reaction was far less befitting of an NFL coach than Harbaugh's action that prompted it.

I'd rather be a little too enthusiastic than be a ******.

Not at all. I'm not the one with a problem with coaches showing emotion after a win. The only reason I bring it up, is because the Lions fan is calling Harbaugh classless for his celebration, when his coach has a far longer history of similar actions. Cursing at officials. Dusting up with opposing players. There's no room for any Lions fan to be accusing any coach of acting inappropriately, without appearing like a huge hypocrite.

The chip on your shoulder must make everyday functions a real chore.

Hardly. I find the whole thing absolutely hilarious. I have no dog in the fight. Just pointing the hypocrisy.

Dude the Vikings aren't even making the playoffs this year. Why are you so butt hurt from one loss?

It has nothing to do with the Vikings. Being a Vikings fans means learning to cope with disappointment. As a Detroit guy, you should know that.

I have zero against the Lions. I think they are a great story this year, and deserve tons of praise for what they're doing. Schwartz gets a lot of credit for that. But, I'm gonna call a spade a spade, and he was way out of line here. Being the emotional guy that he is, he has no room to criticize another coach when they get emotional. he reacted very, very poorly, today.

Okay, if you think Schwartz is the only coach in the NFL that curses at officials, then your crazy man.

And what are his other 'similar actions' that he has such a long history of? He got involved with Dez this year and you mentioned the fist pump/mother ****** thing after he beat the Vikes.

Harbaugh has been in the league for 6 weeks so it's a bit tough to have a longer history of anything. In those 6 weeks though, he has had a 'similar action' with Pete Carrol, Raheem Morris, and now Schwartz. Looks like he's off to a clean start.

Is there a new link to this? The first youtube vid was dropped due to copyright infringement from the NFL.

That was so "detroit" of him.

At least he has a pulse, unlike almost everything involving the Lions since, well, forever.
