I am sick of hearing all the potential weaknesses ISU could have going into UNI dome tonight. UNI did beat a decent KU team last year and Kudos to them! But that's just one tournament. Little guys have nothing to lose when they go up against the bigs like KU. But that's then and its over.

There is absolutely no way ISU will not blow past UNI tonight. This coaching staff alongwith the scout team give us every chance to BLOW past UNI than years past. The fans need to be confident and stop thinking ISU can lose tonight.

Come on Clones, show'em who the big kids are in all of Iowa. ISU basketball is back! The mayor is back! End of discussion! :)

I think we need to consider what the proper punishment is for this post above.

I think you Johnny-come-lately's are wrong. I don't think we were ever in a position to blow UNI out like the OP said, but this was a bad loss. We are better than UNI and for the second straight year, we played right into their hands and it cost us.

Instead of moving the ball using screens to create spacing and motion on offense, the other four guys stood around and watched DG dribble. I don't blame DG for half of the bad shots he took, simply because nobody else was moving without the ball.

Plain and simple, ISU is better and we should have won this game. That's that.

The OP was right..we should have won this game by at least 5-10. ISU played a terrible game, rebounding, shooting, fouls. UNI is not very good. Sorry, it might sound like sour grapes but you can't tell me UNI looked like the better team..we missed more easy shots than I can remember in a long time.

Makes no sense... we couldn't shot on the road but we should have won the game? We play them once and they beat us so on this night they were the better team. Let it go and give UNI credit.

We usually make fun of Hawk fans who use this type of logic. Last I knew the team with the most points at the end of the game is the better team. They forced us to play their tempo and made us look silly. UNI was the better team tonight and it wasn't really even close because of some of the dumb decisions we were making.

And as far as blaming the refs? There were bad calls on both sides. We give Creighton fans all sorts of crap for making the fuss they made about a legitimate bad call, yet we have posters now that they think(falsely) that the calls caused us to lose acting the same way.

How many times must we reteach this lesson: You may have a couple better athletes, but UNI has the better team, just like last year. And at the end of the day??? Scoreboard. In fact now that I think about it, I'm not sure ISU's athletes are really better after all.

Disagree. UNI is a more complete team because they have an inside game. They aren't all that athletic and won't make the tourney, but they're built to make teams like ISU pay. This game went just about how I thought it would...UNI controls the tempo and gets our "bigs" in foul trouble. Get ready, because this is what the conference season is going to look like. Lots of DG dribbling and going one on one because there's no post up game to force anyone to double and allow for open shots.
