yeah I used to tell people the same thing. Then I realized that if I don't buy it directly from the band that I could get it online or at best buy cheaper. Indie music stores overcharge and are basically a rip off disguised as a something they are not.

They overcharge for having the selection of music that I want and for the convenience of not having to wait for an online order to come to my door.

I can't get an Echo & The Bunnymen 180 gram Evergreen LP at Best Buy. I can at ZZZ. I doubt that Best Buy could even order it for me. Nate can because he is awesome.

Muse - 'The Resistance' ...this one grew on me. At first hear, I didn't really enjoy Muse. They are one of my favorites now. OMG Twilight! :jimlad:

You could classify half of Al's list as country...fer sher.

Crappy independent music stores vs Best Buy? You are what's wrong with America.

The funny part about that is 99% of people out there who hold themselves out as country fans haven't heard of half of those bands. They're much closer to where country music started as to what "country" music is known as today.

Its the same phenomena that holds "Rap Fans" to digging Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and Ja Rule.....

Dave Grohl runs the station....I wasn't supposed to tell you...but that bastardo has quite the ego so we have to play A LOT of his songs...up next, non-stop Probot music block.

True. But you forgot Pearl Jam, Green Day, Nirvana, and the Foo Fighters....

Don't forget Kings of Leon. Great band, grossly overplayed. And apparently some kid has been on a dare to see how many times they can get Weezer's "Troublemaker" played.

The Kings of Leon are 2008/9's answer to Modest Mouse.

Both bands have rabid underground followings devoted to early catalog stuff.

Those fans all hate the new "Radio" material.

Both bands are now marquee acts due to long overdue kudos from the rest of the world.
