Seems like a bargain if it sells near that top bid.Are scrap end-cut pieces of Hilton floor on anyone's holy grail list? Two Gov Deals auctions ending soon.
I think that’s all run through ISU Surplus now. They haven’t had one of those for a few years now.Do they still have an annual garage sale? I seemed to recall something of the sort. Football helmets were the first to sell
Would it be worse than Mihm’s soiled shorts after Fizer’s dunk?I'll send you a replica.
I was at that game. All the talk was "Is Fizer going pro or coming back for his senior year?" After that dunk, I turned to my gf and we both said "he's gone."
I would like what was left of Chris Mihm!
I miss the equipment sales, but the last couple were a nightmare. Hundreds of people lining up hours before. People taking arm fulls of clothes to a corner, then sorting through them and leaving them on the floor. Payment systems not able to handle the demand. Much easier for them to just hand stuff off to surplus and let them sell it periodically versus a single a event every 2 or 3 years.I think that’s all run through ISU Surplus now. They haven’t had one of those for a few years now.
Najera played for Oklahoma, but that OSU team was solid all around team that made Elite 8 tooI was at that game too as a student. To this day I still don't think I have ever heard Hilton as loud as it was right after he dunked that and I have attended a pretty high % of MBB games in Hilton since 1998 as I have had season tickets every year as a student and post graduation. This was the first thing that came to my mind that I would like something either Fizer's jersey or the game ball from that game.
The younger generation (man that makes me feel old saying that at age 45) have no idea just how special that team was that year. We didn't have social media or our games on TV that often and when they were it was usually a local or regional broadcast so most of the country had no idea just how good of a team we had. Coming into that game 22-4 and 10-2 in the Big 12 ranked 17 playing 14 ranked Texas with Mihm who at the time many thought may be the #1 overall pick in the NBA draft. That game and the next one that we beat #10 ranked OSU with Eduardo Najera jumped us from 17 to 10 in the rankings and we didn't lose another game again until the Elite 8. I wonder just how high we may have been ranked sooner had we had the TV and media coverage that we have today. Really anything from that season in general would be the highlight of anything I could own.
Nobody else would want a piece of Manginos “toilet paper”.That's an awfully big towel. Could probably cut that thing up and give multiple fans the honor of having pieces of it.
Brain fart there when I wrote this. OU was pretty good that year too. OSU had Desmond Mason who went on to play in the NBAS and Doug Gotlieb that year. You are right, OSU was a 3 seed and also an Elite 8 too.Najera played for Oklahoma, but that OSU team was solid all around team that made Elite 8 too
