So two players are ejected from the Cap One Bowl for fighting (Jeffery from SC & Dennard from Neb) and Jefferey also wins the MVP award for the bowl game?! Nice! Great display of character there Capital One.

Also, this just in, an all-time high has just been reached in domestic violence and tissue sales in Nebraska.

Spurrier gave a televised shout out to him on national TV the minute the game was over too.

What? He didn't throw a punch per say but smacked him in the head a couple of times.

He pushed back after Denard took a swing at him. Should he have been called for a personal foul? Yes. Thrown out? Not in my opinion

Jeffery should not have been thrown out. Denard was the one throwing punches

That is the way I saw it too. Denard kept throwing punches until Jeffery finally retaliated.

Nebraska looked like a classless dirty football team. They reflect the personality of Pellini.

Yeah but Jeffery was killing it out there. Wouldn't surprise me if it was an NU gameplan. Dirty ********.

both were fighting and should have been thrown out. And this isn't a pansy perspective, I am all about unloading on someone and have been kicked out of my share of events for throwing a punch, but where does a fight lead if left unchecked?

I don't either. Its football, its not knitting quilts at the church social.
I went to one of those once. I am no longer allowed back. Neither is my 99-year old great grandmother.

We're still not speaking to each other. She packs a mean one.

Here nor there
No way the South Carolina player should have been ejected. It is odd that that shove would have only been a 15 yard penalty if the NU guy had done nothing. but since the NU guy through several punches, the SC guy gets ejected.

Since when does getting in a shoving match/fist fight in a football game automatically make you a bad person? I remember watching Andre Johnson kick the hell out of a deserving Cortland Finnegan last year and the idea of Andre Johnson being a thug is ludicrous.
