Why no ND to Big 12 Rumors?

Everyone knows that ND wasn't allowed into Big 10 when Michigan blocked it years ago. If there is still animosity within the Big 10 to adding ND, why isn't the Big 12 putting on a full court press to replace NU with ND if Texas and all the South teams really want to "save" the Big 12?

If ND wont go to the big 10, they sure arent coming to the big 12.

Itd be one hell of a coup though.

The Big 10 wants ND, ND doesn't want a conference. That's the issue.

The ironic part is ND needs the Big 10 a lot more than the Big 10 needs ND at this point, and ND is too blinded by their arrogance to see that. If the superconferences come to fruition and ND isn't attached to one, I easily see them being left out of the new BCS and/or college playoff that results. ND's money won't even scratch the amounts of money these new superconferences are going to make.

Not that it would happen but it would be the ultimate switcheroo.
Now that Colorado's gone and Nebraska hasn't officially accepted the Big 10 offer it opens up the Big 12 for one more team.
Notre Dame would get an annual meeting with Nebraska, have a decent shot at a BCS bid playing in the North and the biggest D Bag of them all, Brian Kelly, would end up having to come to Ames every other year. Karma is a *****.

the big 10 conference has the best tv package revenue share of all conferences.

$22MM reportedly.

The new Pac 16 will be $20MM per school.

SEC - $17MM

Ours as is it stands right now - around $10MM.

Yeah, let's get ND to join the Big 12......

Come one, where's your imagination?

ND TV = $10MM + Big 12 $10MM = $20MM and we get to reinstate the Catholic Holy War when Baylor and ND meet, and the Catholics can pretty well pencil in a victory right now, but just wait until the Baptists WIN....

With the way that the B12 has the revenue sharing set up it could be to ND advantage in that they could keep their NBC package, then have the B12 work the deal with Fox to include the Pac 10 package that is even better than with NU.
