Got the idea reading another thread: which places have you gone to watch ISU play?

My list probably isn’t as big as some of you, but here we go:

Iowa
Missouri
Kansas
K State
TCU
Colorado
Liberty Bowl

Hoping to get down to Stillwater this year. Would love to make it to Austin or Morgantown sometime in the near future.

Pretty short list:

Iowa (only once, that was plenty)
Minnesota (four mile road trip)
Colorado
Insight Bowl in Phx
One of the Kansas schools, seriously cannot remember which one, it was like 1973. Camped by some reservoir so thinking KSU. Something something Coors something something students drinking.

The only place I have seen college football other than in Ames is at Camp Randall and also Notre Dame Stadium. I saw #3 Ohio State against #5 Notre Dame, and I can safely say it was the most electric atmosphere I can remember for a college football game. Love or hate them, the Irish have a tradition second to none. When you walk through that tunnel and realize all the fantastic things that have happened on that field, it give you goosebumps. (Well, it did me.)

ISU - treated like a visitor
Ku - always friendly purple confines
Missouri - called a "purple fag" and car keyed
Texas - treated like visiting royalty
aTm - thought the 'howdy' was fake
Nebraska - amazing entrance
Indiana - pretty place
Purdue - dump
Vanderbilt - how the hell did that happen?
Baylor - during tarp days though
TCU - pro type atmosphere in a sweet stadium
USAFA - prep schoolish
USC - big yawn
Stanford - little yawn
Army/Navy - exceptional
ND - best on-campus experience and it's not close
