Watched the first episode of The Studio and loved it. Watched the second episode, and gave up on it. That second episode was awful…. Rogen’s character was SO annoying the entire thing. I’m assuming I should go ahead and keep watching though?? LOVE the Cranston character…. he is just SO good!
I’d keep watching. Only 30 minute shows that go quick. Especially if you liked the Bryan Cranston character. He was hilarious the final two episodes

He is the voice of Allen The Alien on Invincible and Donkey Kong in the Super Mario movie. Probably the only two things I’ve enjoyed him in since Superbad.

We watched the two part documentary Pee-Wee as Himself tonight. It's about 3 hours long, but held our attention. I loved Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, but really didn't watch much of Pee Wee's Playhouse or anything else, but it was interesting and I found out a lot that I didn't know about his career and how it started.

Anyone watch The Eternaut yet on Netflix? Watched the whole thing in a few nights. It has english dubbed over it, but that didn't bother me after a few minutes. I really enjoyed it, and glad to see there will be another season. Getting great reviews on Rotten Tomatoes... 95% by critics and 89% by the audience.

I almost gave up after the first episode, but I was glad I didn’t. The over dubbing is really annoying, but I was still entertained. Lots of other people seemed to also.

Finished The Better Sister on Prime yesterday. Really liked the storyline, the acting was meh, but overall it was an enjoyable watch.

When I get a show like that, I give up and go read the plot summary on Wikipedia and/or IMDB. Those decided me not to go back.

I've been spoiled by really fabulous sci-fi, and even though I do love foreign films and TV shows, lo siento mucho, pero this one apestaba (it stank).

Well, this sucks. Saw that Wheel of Time was cancelled and had to check to make sure I wasn't getting duped by a fake story again. Was hoping I was but it is cancelled. Got better each season with this Season 3 being the best. One of those shows where good reviews by critics and fans didn't translate enough into viewership, maybe because of the platform. It was better than the Netflix The Witcher, which is another good series in this fantasy/magic genre.

Meanwhile they roll out crap like the Alex Cross series and Reacher Season 3. I couldn't even get through the first show of Cross series. Felt like I had watched the same thing a dozen times in another shows and movies. Guess they are as cheap to produce as generic ABC/CBS/NBC cop and rescue garbage.

Really sucks.

I wonder how difficult the negotiations with Sony were.

The Nielsen rankings reflect U.S. viewership. Streaming renewal decisions are made based on how a show does around the world, and The Wheel of Time is a global title. It did rank as #1 on Prime Video in multiple countries with the most recent season. Still, the Season 3 overall performance was not strong enough compared to the show’s cost for Prime Video to commit to another season and the streamer could not make it work after examining different scenarios and following discussions with lead studio Sony TV, sources said.

Just watched Episode 1, Season 1 of Reacher on Prime. Now THAT is how you cast the title character. Tom Cruise? Not so much.

Agree 100%. A 5'6" guy doesn't create quite the imposing figure as a 6'5" guy in the books.

Tom Cruise was Producer for the Reacher movies, so I'm sure this was more about trying to establish another Tom Cruise movie franchise.

Watched Becoming Led Zeppelin. It was good. Not great. There were a couple new pieces of information. An unearthed interview with John Bohnam for example. Other items I won't ruin for others who haven't watched it yet.

The documentary covered the band's formation through the release of Led Zeppelin II in two hours. I love Zeppelin. Probably logged more hours in my life listening to them than any other band but there wasn't enough material to fill two hours.

If you are into true crime - the Karen Reed doc on Max is wild. Very detailed and well done.

Watched the Sherri Papini 4 part doc on Netflix this weekend and it’s as crazy as the original story as she’s back to doubling down that it was a kidnapping.

Going to put in another good word for Love on the Spectrum (Netflix). This is totally not my kind of show, but it has me looking forward to new episodes. I've learned a lot about the variations of autism and it is so cool to watch them start to emerge as they gain confidence. Most episodes are genuinely moving.

It does feel like they curate the experience a bit (I could be wrong), as you really don't see as much of the frustration and anxiety as you'd expect to see from people who are totally new to the dating world.
