For whatever reason, I decided to binge the Ocean's movies (11-13). They're all on Netflix and are still an incredible amount of fun.
I may be the only one...but I liked Oceans 12 the best in that group.

Well, this sucks. Saw that Wheel of Time was cancelled and had to check to make sure I wasn't getting duped by a fake story again. Was hoping I was but it is cancelled. Got better each season with this Season 3 being the best. One of those shows where good reviews by critics and fans didn't translate enough into viewership, maybe because of the platform. It was better than the Netflix The Witcher, which is another good series in this fantasy/magic genre.

Meanwhile they roll out crap like the Alex Cross series and Reacher Season 3. I couldn't even get through the first show of Cross series. Felt like I had watched the same thing a dozen times in another shows and movies. Guess they are as cheap to produce as generic ABC/CBS/NBC cop and rescue garbage.

Yea that is disappointing to see. I enjoyed all 3 seasons.

Hopeful, with some of these higher priced series with a solid followings, that the producers and Amazon will create a 2 hour movies to satisfy series fans.

Decided to watch "White Heat" on Turner Classic Movies on demand. Now I have to watch all the free James Cagney movies that are streaming (a surprising number of which you still have to pay to watch).

I'm disappointed too but it's not better than The Witcher.

Edit: just saw Netflix is cancelling The Witcher too☹️

Yep, saw that yesterday as well. I felt this last season was the best and critics agreed as well. The series was finally hitting its stride and it felt like season 4 was going to resolve some major character storylines. So disappointing.

Watched Mickey 17 on Max last night. Pretty imaginative story and worth the watch, but not quite as good as I had hoped.

My wife and I also watched it last night. Good premise. Mark Ruffalo was a good character. But a little too long and not up to the quality I was expecting from BJ Ho. I could not get over the choice of the look and actions of the creepers. Too much of a Starship Trooper vibe.

Cancelled or just done after the fifth season? They were supposed to be releasing season 4 this year and filming season 5 concurrently.

Of course, with Cavill leaving and replaced by Hemsworth, who knows if it’ll be as good

Done after season 5 so maybe cancelling is the wrong term. Yeah, will be interesting to see.

Rick and Morty had their season 8 premiere last night. I enjoyed it. I buy the seasons on Amazon Prime. No commercials and no bleeping out profanity.

As somebody who got really into the series about 25 years ago, I could never get into the show. It wasn’t bad. I think I watched the first season but just never went back.

The Witcher is better too. I just don’t think that’s debatable.

The Witcher is better too. I just don’t think that’s debatable.

I found Season 1 and all of the "kids" to be a bit off putting. Season 2 was better and Season 3 was best of the three by far. Just my opinion but you might want to give it another try since it was WAY better in Seasons 2/3.

Everything in viewer opinion is "debatable". I do quite like the Witcher (other than the annoying as hell Jaskier). Critic and audience scores do favor Wheel over Witcher, particularly Season 3. Witcher started strong and has weakened (to me) and Wheel was the opposite (weaker than strong).

Behind you
Best season since the early episodes in my opinion.
Agree. Both my daughters watched the season before me and their favorite was 'Common People' and as we talked about the season before I watched, they didn't mention 'Plaything'. Then I watched and man 'Plaything' might be one of my favorites of all time. I did love 'Common People' as well, but the guy who played Cameron in 'Plaything' needs several awards, exceptional IMO.
