Here's an interesting article I read that digs a little deeper to uncover how Tebow is helping the Broncos win. Whether you agree with everything written there, its an interesting read.

Tim Tebow's success with Broncos can be easily explained with stats - Kerry J. Byrne - SI.com

That is an interesting article.

I also found interesting the list of QBs Tebow has played against:

Matt Moore
Shaun Hill
Carson Palmer
Tyler Palko
Mark Sanchez
Philip Rivers (a real QB!)
Christian Ponder
Chad Hanie

Competition may have something to do with that record as well...

He should, the guy made the kick in both circumstances before timeouts, obviously it was a kick he could/should make. But that's the nature of sports, you're a hero if you win, do the exact same thing and lose and you're the goat. If Tebow drives them to a 59-yard field goal and miss the lead on every sports show is how Tebow came up short in the end, that's just the way it works.

Not really. If you are a good QB, say Joe QB goes out there and is 30 for 42 and 300+ yards, 3tds no interceptions and a kicker misses a field goal at the end to win it. That QB had a great performance and couldn't be blamed for the loss, the kicker would get the blame.

Tom Brady is next. It is rather crazy how many bad QBs are in this league, though. Tebow just being a runner and a leader is better than almost half of them. Crazy.

true..beat one 8-5 and the rest of the wins against teams with worse records than that, but thats the AFC west for you.. We should get to see what they can do in the playoffs since they wrap up the season with buffalo and KC. If nothing else, should make for great ratings for that first playoff game.

But if Tebow is as bad as a lot of people think, shouldn't all these QBs have won?

There's a lot of strawmen in this thread, I guess they always end up this way. Some people whine and moan that the media is deifying Tebow, and prove they are wrong by pointing out he's not Aaron Rodgers. Other people whine and moan that haters are hating on Tebow, and prove they are wrong by pointing out he's not Tyler Palko.

it's really kinda stupid and redundant.

Tebow is a topic that almost belongs in the cave..its become one those things not smart to get into at work..because it goes past discussing his game like a normal qb. People are a lot more emotional about him than any QB I can remember.

We all know Tebow isn't a good QB. The problem is that he has made God a Broncos fan and so is helping them win. I mean what else besides divine intervention could have caused Barber's stupid decision to run out of bounds, and his stupid fumble in FG range. Then a kicker kicks a 59 yarder and he said himself it was unusual air for that time of year in Denver.

So he moved them twice into position to be within range of their kicker? I'm not seeing the problem here.

What he did was nothing special. He barely got them in position. 59 yd field goal!!

The media and tebow lovers act like he did a miracle. Compare that to what Rogers did in :56 against the Giants the previous week. Tebow is no where near that level.

Heck, he barely outplayed Caleb in OT. The Bears were just 30 yds away from a td until barber fumbled. Then tebow does just enough to get in fg range.

Did he win....yes. But he won't be an all pro anytime soon.

Either he did or did not put them in position to win. He did, there is no barely. 59 yards is about 50 with altitude, still much credit goes to Prater.

A miracle? I would estimate that NFL teams win games 99% of the time when leading by at least 10 points in the last 3 minutes. 1 out of 100 is pretty small odds. How many times do you ever see this happen? You can't even compare this comeback to Rodgers' last week because his team wasn't down 10 points, they were tied.

It doesn't matter if he outplays Caleb in OT, it matters if they score first in OT.

A win is a win. Tebow is closer to getting into the Pro Bowl than you think... just wait til January and see how many votes he will get.

Something to keep in mind: Denver could make the playoffs without beating a single playoff-bound team.

I still blame prevent-style defense for most late-game heroics (that's not a Tebow-bash directly — it pretty much negates all "game-winning drives" in the last 25 years).

I'm sorry, I know it doesn't matter..but thats too funny. It literally happened the very next game on. Cowboys were up 12 but same difference. The odds of hitting back to back 1% miracles.. 1 in 10,000.. we are all very lucky for having witnessed such an unbelievable event..twice :jimlad:
