I saw the band Live in Omaha in '95 or '96. The chicks went crazy when they sang Lightning Crashes.

Kiss at the Five Seasons Center in Cedar Rapids. I don't remember the exact year but it was the Dynasty tour.

PS - The opening act was a relatively unknown guy named John Cougar (a.k.a. John Mellencamp)
I saw Kiss there in about 1976 or 77. I don't remember the opening act. Was that about when you saw them? They put on one hell of a show.

Sonshine Music Festival in Wilmar, MN. Seems lame in retrospect, but I was able to pass off camping out for three days in a tent with my girlfriend as a church thing.

Michael Jackson Victory Tour July 1984 at the Gator Bowl. I was five and fell asleep before all the good songs and was mad at my dad for weeks.

I distinctly remember it was the Dynasty tour and that album came out in '79, so I'm going to say it was '79 or even '80.

PS - According to Wikipedia, The Five opened in January of 1979, so if you saw Kiss there it would have been after that time and was likely the same show I saw.

When I was 4, my parents were going to take me to a Barbara Mandrell concert at Cattle Congress in Waterloo. They played that up for weeks and I was so excited, a few days (or weeks) before she was in a major car accident and had to cancel the concert. My little 4 year old self was devastated.

The first concert that I actually attended was probably some country act when I was around 7 or 8, I suppose. I can't really remember. I've been to a lot of concerts.
