Flaming lips- do you realize and the observer
Sigur Ros- any song from untitled.
REO Speedwagon- time for me to fly
Smashing pumpkins- ode to no one, mayonnaise.
Radiohead- lucky, paranoid android
John Lennon- imagine (live version)
Stephen Lynch- Craig Christ
Built to spill-carry the zero

Just to name a few then wife, friends and family play whatever they want to remember me.

This is going to sound weird, but after planning things out for two loved ones who passed without their wishes known, I have planned out my entire memorial - including a fairly lengthy playlist for both the service and social time after.

For during the actual service:

Nothing weird about that at all. My in-laws paid for their funerals years ago. Picked out their caskets. Purchased burial plots. Headstone is in place. My MIL died in 2011 and even had her burial clothes set aside for us.

My Mom passed just a couple weeks ago. She always wanted "Happy Trails" played at the end of the service while her casket was being pushed out of the sanctuary. So that's what we did.

My husband & I have our burial plots bought - next to our youngest son. But as far as the rest - we told our oldest son to do whatever he needs for closure. After attending a celebration of life a couple years ago, that's what my preference would be - with a family graveside burial. No traditional funeral or visitation. Let people think of the good times & reminisce together. Plenty of time to play all the music I like, too.

All the songs I choose and everyone else which would be played the whole time. Atmosphere would be like an old school keggar party with nice scotches, bourbons.

With shredded carrots and raisins? That's how you take a meh dish like jello and make it really gross.

That is indeed how you make it really gross! And like every Methodist funeral I had to attend growing up. Mayonnaise and carrots on top. So I am dead, I don’t have to eat it, but am sharing the love to new generations.

Whomever the **** invented those so called "foods" should be severely punished. Every event growing up seemed to have some odd **** mix of jello, olives, carrots, marshmallows, or something of the sort.

This is exactly why I want it at my funeral. Honor the past, torture the future.

I am so very sorry for your losses. So deeply sorry.

And I love what you said. When I say “memorial” - I just want a bunch of people hanging out. If someone wants to tell a goofy story, tell a story. If you want to do it with a beer in your hand, do it. And if “Pony” is playing in the background? Even better.

I want the bulk of my ashes spread in a foreign country that I enjoyed - my family can choose. But I do want some buried with those of our baby who passed. I am so sorry about your son, it is unbearable. <3

Orange jello with shredded carrots and crushed pineapple.

My other go to salad is cherry pie filling, cool whip, marshmallows and crushed pineapple.

My stepson has learned to play the "pipes" I bought him in Edinburgh. The pipes will be playing as I exit for the final time.

Two that I’ve always liked are— ‘To Everything There Is a Season’ adapted and made popular by the Byrds, and Fernando Ortega’s classic rendition of ‘Give Me Jesus’.
