Let's look ahead to the Mountaineers first Big 12 trip to Hilton Coliseum, as well as their first-ever Big 12 road game with a student section, because their trip to Texas was over break.

The game is at 8:00pm on Wednesday, nationally televised on ESPN2.

WVU's record is 8-7 overall, 1-2 in conference play. (ISU is 11-4, 1-1.) The Mountaineers lost to Oklahoma at home 67-57, won in overtime at Texas, and are just coming off of a tough 65-64 home loss to Kansas State. They also lost a nonconference game to Oklahoma - a leftover game scheduled as a Big East member - back in November.

I'm looking forward to a rowdy Hilton and hope the students show up - after all, not too many excuses to miss during the first week of classes. I'll say the good guys come out a little flat but pull away somewhat comfortably in the second half for a 79-68 victory.

It is a late tipoff game during the week..... The students will be there but I hope the rest of the fans will be there.

We need to pay the Mountaineers back for that loss they gave us on our field in football.

Work 'em and control the whole game like we know we should. Students totally back...time to destroy huggy bear. Clones by 10-15pts. And another game past 70 pts.

That's crazy they already played OU twice and a third time in March.

Folks, don't look now but OU is getting good; I think we split with them this year, whereas last year we could pencil in a road victory.

This will be a grind it out game. Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being our first game under 70. Gotta be mentally tough and get this one at home.

If we make them play faster than they want, like we did Texas, we should get plenty of points to get to 70-80, and after watching several WV games, they would have to all of a sudden become sharpshooters to score more than 60. Should be 75-55.

If we continue to play like the last two games, then when I go watch them in Stillwater, we should be 5-1 in conference. If we get through the game at OSU with only one loss, then we should know this team has a chance to be very special.

This will be a much closer game than Texas, imo. From what I have seen of them this year, WVU is not a very good shooting team, and their play has been very inconsistent this year. Sometimes they have played well, but other times have looked terrible. They have started 11 different players this year and have 11 who play an average of 10 minutes or more per game. It will be interesting.

Looking not too far ahead, but is there a chance TCU wins no conference games...
