Wendy Wintersteen announcing her retirement as ISU President

Curious what building will be named in honor of Wintersteen. I am old enough to remember then President Robert Parks for the start of my ISU days. Parks was and still is ISU's longest serving president at about 21 years. It is fitting that he has such a high profile building bearing his name. Wintersteen was a great president for ISU and should have something more than a storage shed in the far corner of campus bear her name.

It would be nice to get someone fairly young that is forward thinking, and has a vision for ISU well into the future. Something that has been lacking in the past.

You would think someone like the current Provost is qualified but he hasn't been here long.
I really "liked" that Dr Wintersteen was from here and knew what to expect.

Wintersteen's worked in the Entomology Department. That department is currently based in the Advanced Teaching and Research Building on Pammel Dr. which was completed in 2018. I think renaming it to Wintersteen Hall is a fitting dedication.

He is nowhere close to being ready to run a university. If Dr. Wickert were still the Provost, it would be a different story.
