Big 12/SEC bowl projections: Week 11 - Dallas Colleges Blog - ESPN Dallas

This week, David Ubben says were heading to the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas. I have a really tough time seeing TCU win another game, their schedule is very tough.

Post your predictions in this thread. Here are mine:

TeamRecordBowl
Kansas State12-0BCS
Oklahoma10-2BCS
Texas9-3Cotton
Texas Tech8-4Alamo
Oklahoma State8-4BWW
Iowa State7-5Holiday
TCU6-6Texas
West Virginia6-6Pinstripe
Baylor4-8
Kansas1-11

Holiday Bowl plays PAC 12 #3. This will most likely be UCLA, Stanford, or USC.

All for Holiday. Too bad it's a 5th-order bowl instead of a 3rd-order bowl now, but I'd still definitely take it.

Kind of funny seeing WVU projected 6-6 and in the pinstripe bowl..when if they were still in the big east, they would probably be undefeated and talking BCS, the way that conference is this year and most years.

If OSU loses to Tech, ISU would be tied with them. We could (potentially) jump them and play in the BWW bowl (former Insight bowl). I think i like the attractiveness of the Holiday bowl better, but it would be very nice to play the Big 10 instead of Pac 12 #3!

Would we have to wear our alternate gold uniforms if this happens?

I'd expect a lot of interceptions in an Iowa State-USC Holiday bowl. The Quarterbacks would keep accidentally throwing to the defensive backs because of the uniforms.

I think we get 2 of our last 3 and a trip to San Diego MAYBE even jump up to BWW since the Fiesta Bowl Committee loves the state of Iowa, BUT...

If worse comes to worse and we are 6-6 and find ourselves back in New York, I think the team would treat it much more like a business trip this time.

I think we would bring more fans to the Meineke Car Care bowl than TCU, even though they are in the state of Texas, so even at 6-6 I think we could jump them if they have the same record.

We must beat WV to avoid NY and Pinstripe and send them to Pinstripe - make them go play a Big East team in their back yard. Gotta win two of last three to get to 7 and a better bowl.

I'm sure the sponsors of the Pinstripe would like this as well. Despite their disappointing season, I would think a relatively close WVU team would draw better than an ISU team going for their second year in a row. I know that they make schools buy a bunch of tickets if they don't sell, but it gives the bowl a black eye if it is played in an empty stadium.
