I think meltdowns only happen when there is still hope for a season and a team is performing under their potential. There has not been any hope around here since Baylor, and we have all pretty much accepted that this is the best the team can perform. Meltdown averted!

Iowa State football is built around optimism that never arrives. The best thing you can do is stop buying season tickets and become a fan of a perennial national power, because even when they have down years, they kick the **** out of Iowa State.

Gene Chizik will either: A. Bring Iowa State into mediocrity and get hired at a downtrodden SEC team or B. Become another victim of this coaches graveyard we call Ames, Iowa.

make sure we join the CIML metro though, the Central is too strong and Valley carries the Iowa, but we'd get a rivarly with Ames High though if we joined CIML Iowa, just need a good name for it?:biglaugh:
