Wouldn't be so annoyed by criticism of the coaches when we lose if the same people complemented the coaches when we win.
Dont you know that sites like this are a place where much more accomplished strategists than the coaches talk. I know it is fair to be critical-- that is what a fan is about but with a predominantly freshmen team lets just acknowledge how well they did with the 4th ranked team in the country. By the way, chicken wing aside did anyone ever notice that half the time CC crow-hops on her jump shots??

Clark squawking after the obvious travel. And you wonder why Iowa came up empty in the transfer portal. National title runner up it should have been a destination for top transfers that didn't go to LSU. Makes you wonder...

This Iowa team is good but not nearly as talented as they were last year. I'm proud of how our ladies played tonight. Hung with one of the best teams, just don't have the experience and offense to trade shots with a team like that down the stretch. The freshmen are going to get better as the season goes on and a game like this is a good confidence builder for them. We can talk about the "what ifs" with the players that left that could have been the missing pieces that could have made this a really good season but I'm excited about seeing this group that want to be at ISU grow and get better.

So very impressed by this very young team. Up against a #4 team that had the experience of being in a national final last year and our women pushed them to the limit. Great tune-up for Big 12 play. Not saying this is a moral victory; just saying this is an impressive team that I am looking forward to watching the rest of the year. Go 'Clones.

This is the 1st time I am watching Clark play more than couple minutes and I always thought people were vastly exaggerating her antics with her game and behavior. But oh my damn, this is hilariously way worse than I imagined. What a ******* clown.
Tonight was tame compared to some of her game antics.

Can’t stand Clark but I’ll take 35 pts on 31 shots from a player every game.
Wait I can't tell how you are saying this. Are you saying as a compliment to our defense or are you actually impressed by that offensive stat line?

Because that is not good having 35 point and almost the same number of shots. That is abysmal inefficiency.

Dude come on. Bill called a really solid game and the game plan was really good for the most part. But unless the kids ignored him, he did not call a great last 3-4 minutes. Did it cost us? Who knows? But these girls needed a better offensive game plan than iso ball every time down the court there to finish. That's just a fact.
We really didn’t run a good offense all game. Yeah we scored but there was zero ball movement and way too much forced iso plays. Kudos to the girls for hanging in there but we absolutely folded in the 4th.

You wouldn't expect it with Clark scoring 35, but Arianna Jackson's defense tonight was incredible. She was always in her face, there's a reason why she was settled on eventually to take over as the prime defender on her. You can't stop Clark every time, but she limited her to maybe the best you can expect.

Exactly.. M. Cinzano was a huge key. We will see but they lost a lot with her graduation.

Some of the comments here are REALLY stupid. We have five freshman playing the bulk of our minutes and we have NO point guard. Keeping it this close and having the lead as late as we did is something I didn't see coming. Come crunchtime it was Iowa seniors making plays over ISU freshman playing in only their 8th college game.
