Honestly had that wide open three by Bristow I think right after we took the lead at 55-54 gone in...That was a huge chance to really crank up the pressure on Iowa. That's how it goes though.

Just overall really impressed by this young team, and again all without their floor general.

Wait I can't tell how you are saying this. Are you saying as a compliment to our defense or are you actually impressed by that offensive stat line?

Because that is not good having 35 point and almost the same number of shots. That is abysmal inefficientcy.
Over a point per possession is definitely not abysmal

most casual of casual fans but the team does seem to have a lot of upside.

Brown looks like she could be amazing if she improves conditioning.

I certainly thought the overall length and talent looked better than Iowa outside of one player, then consider it's half freshmen.

I can't imagine it's much fun to play with one player taking half the shots but I guess it works for them.

Some of the comments here are REALLY stupid. We have five freshman playing the bulk of our minutes and we have NO point guard. Keeping it this close and having the lead as late as we did is something I didn't see coming. Come crunchtime it was Iowa seniors making plays over ISU freshman playing in only their 8th college game.

Agree, Ryan would have made a huge difference on this team as Belanger should be coming off the bench. Imagine if Donarski would have stayed, she'd be playing PG right now in Ryan's absence. Trying not to dwell too much on players no longer on the team but watching how good this freshman class is you can see what the coaching staff was hoping to have and having 2 or 3 experienced guards returning would have made this a top 25 team right now.

Lol what does? She was 12/ 31. That's 38.7%.
She scored 35 pts on 31 shots. That’s an effective FG % of over 50%. I’m not sure how to explain this. Go look at some box scores. Especially from our mens’ teams the last few years. This isn’t complicated.
